I wrote last night on another thread that I am currently pinching myself to believe that today League 1 football is actually becoming a reality and the 'little Burton Albion' have risen to these dizzy heights. It's particularly poignant for me as 2015/16 will be my 50th season of supporting the Brewers and to illustrate how far we have come I looked up what our opening fixture was in that 1965/66 season - it was a rather more modest trip to Ashford Town in Kent and an inauspicious 1-0 defeat in front of 711. Plenty of fans can go back far further than I can and perhaps it seems even more incredible to them that our modest club can have risen to these dizzy heights. It's been a wonderfully enjoyable journey and long may it continue for us. But who would ever thought it would be possible? Good luck to the lads for a great season in League 1 and whatever happens we'll be proud of you. UTB! What was your first match and best memory?
