Slightly concerned about another proven striker not been bought in to bolster the squad! League 1 will be a much tougher than last year, the quality of defenders and strikers is much better than League 2, looking at the other teams Burton must have the one of the smallest budgets in this division. Plus don't be surprised if the popside is split into two halfs, for certain games to accommodate more away supporters ,the current away end is not big enough for the bigger teams.

We have until the end of August to sign players before the transfer window closes. Plenty of time for Jimmy to get the right one in that he wants. Contrary to the common myth these 20 goal a season strikers do not grow on trees. Had you gone to the fan engagement workshop the other week you would have heard it clearly stated that away teams will NOT get any larger allocations than they already do eg. the East Stand and also an allocation of seats. Also that various flexible restrictions will be placed on the online ticketing system to ensure, as far as is humanly possible, that home tickets are not sold to visiting fans via the new system either.

Ah CBH, I fear you may be whoosh bait. The original poster was obviously making a very clever ironic post highlighting the stupidity and banality that can sometimes emanate upon social media, forums and the like. His use of stereotypical and uninformed blanket statements was pure genius.

I think I'm about to be whooshed too then as all I can see in cp's post is a wish for another striker and a view that there might be a few games when away fans will oversubscribe their ticket allocation. Seems fair comment to me.

If all of the other clubs are after all of the 20 goal a season strikers, why don't we buy a 21 goal a season striker? No-one seems interested in them.

I'd be happy with a 19 goals a season striker.
