insert code here This isn't good.... "More should be known in the week regarding the severity of the injury and how long he will be out of action but Hasselbaink is not optimistic. "Kelvin Maynard is not good, it's not good," said the Albion boss. "It doesn't look, on first initial looks, very good at all. "Hopefully, fingers crossed, that I'm wrong but initially it doesn't look great for Kelvin." Out for the season!!! I feel really bad for the guy, he was just getting into the team last year and he suffered a lengthy hip injury. And this season he was fit and proving his versatility by playing in 5 different positions. I know there are some people who never liked him but from day 1 I thought he was a valuable addition to the squad. All the best to him, godspeed in you recovery Kelvin!! Hasselbaink has confirmed the utility man will be out for the season. Read more at www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/article/maynard-ruled-out-for-the-season-2594382.aspx#wLj0yxC2tR7vm9BD.99

That's tough he was just finding his feet. I noticed against Leic he was very strong when in possession of the ball, not easily shaken off it, just the type of player that's needed. A real shame and you've got to feel for the guy, before a ball is kicked in anger too.

It is a shame but Jimmy has at least got time to ensure he has adequate cover and to bring someone else in if needed. Personally I think we have plenty of cover and it just pushes a couple of our younger /less experienced squad members another step up the pecking order which is no bad thing. Every cloud...

I can't see what the actual injury diagnosis is?
To be out for entire season it has to be severe whatever it is?

I can't see what the actual injury diagnosis is? To be out for entire season it has to be severe whatever it is? He's damaged his anterior cruciate ligament. Terrible shame for the bloke. Last time I saw him was against Leicester and I think I said in the match thread that he had a good game against decent opposition. You tend to get the occasional story at this time of the season about players who suffer injuries that rule them out for the season before it's even started and I'm always gutted for them but especially so in this case since he's a Brewer. I hope he comes back stronger and more determined than ever.

Really sorry for the lad.
He had a decent game against Wolves and looked as though he was turning a corner...lousy luck for him.
