My feelings exactly Swaddy, that is what I was expecting. Can't say as I remember Binnom-Williams against us last season but looks like another good addition to the squad. How many players do we have in the squad know ? must be the biggest squad we have ever had ! Maybe some of the younger members will be going out on loan themselves. Without realising who he was I saw Binnom-Williams training with us on the BBC Midlands news this morning, thought it was odd us being featured but Jimmy was happy to tell them how fit we will be and that we will do ok.

I am surprised at this but also pleased to see us so active. I am sure a new striker will arrive soon to complete the picture. JFH seems to continually have his figure on the pulse.

I feel players like Harness and Slade who are young and learning should maybe go out and get some experience in League 2 or even high level non league short term
I guess Lyness will go out as well just after first match of season if not before
It's a really solid squad with lots of options now
I wonder if Akins could become striker for us?

This left back/some time centre back was played on the left wing today (against Derby) and almost scored a great goal - his strong run finished with a defender's strike - high over the bar......!!

I agree, he looked good for the short time he was on. The worry for me is KM's injury, he seemed to be waving his arm for help straight away! It looked like he was telling the physio that his knee bent laterally (a LCL or MCL injury 6-8 weeks) but if it's an ACL or PCL then that's a 6-8 months recovery time which really sucks. I think Maynard is a big part of this squad, he can play at least 5 positions and as such is a very good asset. If he is out long term than perhaps J-B-W can provide the coverage that KM does.

Maynard may cover a lot of positions but only as a sub

I thought Binnom-Williams looked different class today - potentially a very good player indeed.

Article in today's BM on Jerome Binnom-Williams "I'm only 20 and it's good to come from a club that's doing well on loan to another club that's doing well. "I'm happy to play my part to make sure we get some wins. I do want to get that left-back spot at Palace but I'm still learning the game. "So hopefully I can come down here, play a few games, and get that experience under the gaffer. "It's been good since I came in. "I've got a little bit of a smile on my face and I'm happy!" JEROME Binnom-Williams insists he will keep fighting for a starting role for Burton Albion. The on-loan Crystal Palace winger has impressed whenever called off the bench so far this season with his pace and power out wide. A natural left-back, Binnom-Williams has been employed further forward and got his first assist of the season in the 1-0 win at Shrewsbury Town. The 20-year-old turned right-sided wing-back Matt Tootle inside out before reaching the byline and pulling back for Mark Duffy to turn home. Binnom-Williams has started the last three matches, at left-back in the defeat against Coventry City and on the wing in victories over Rochdale and Swindon Town – though the youngster was forced off the pitch against Swindon after 36 minutes as a virus affected his breathing. That run of games means Binnom-Williams has effectively displaced joint-top scorer Nasser El Khayati for the time being – though either could be in line to start on Saturday at Chesterfield. The competition for places on the left does not phase Binnom-Williams and he is determined to force his way into the starting XI more regularly. "It's very tough competition for places," said the Palace defender. Read more: www.burtonmail.co.uk/Binnom-Williams-determined-force-way-Burton/story-27847757-detail/story.html#ixzz3mYDsRLT6
