Give them the Pop Side. I've been saying for a while that splitting the Pop Side in half to accommodate more away fans is the way forward. It will have some issues in terms of dividing the area behind the stand, but there is room for a mobile refreshment unit and one of those event toilet blocks. Bit of fencing and a couple of extra stewards - sorted. Assuming the cost doesn't outweigh the benefit of the increased attendance of course, but the additional benefit is a decreased likelihood of away fans going into the home support areas.
For pre-season friendlies, just mix everyone up.

There are already toilets at each end of the pop side…and the small tea bar could be the other side of the fence.

A fence with a gate and on the terrace just lose a little space for a buffer zone (again gated so that you can mix and match use) and also access from the away end turnstiles. For the bigger clubs and bigger games this could be a great idea, again as long as there is profit in it. Better still to increase our home support but that will take a few years in league 1 I would guess. I've also wondered about whether there might be an opportunity to build another tier on the away end, probably with more seats? We might have to consider that when we are in the Championship ;-)

Stick em in the west terrace (home end) and move them to the popside. No need for divisions save for a few extra stewards/police in that area, it's only for one match (friendly) or maybe the next one. Of course that won't go down well with those that populate that stand regularly.

Great news financially
I said before that Benfica (had it not been cancelled) would probably have been the lowest attended friendly
This should be a crowd of over 4000 and 40k plus extra income
Maybe 20k profit after costs
Give them two stands. You could also give them a few hundred seats and enough of them would pay upto 18 to sit down for a friendly
Cash in

Both end terraces, with 600 seats or so, makes a lot of sense but I think there would be a lot of complaining from the Burton Boys who decorate the west terrace. Another option would be to give them the east terrace and seats from the dugout to the east end, more £££ for seats, and the east end of the popside.

Don't remember any divisions for the Derby friendly last pre season, we mixed with the Derby lot on the North terrace. Can we trust the Blues fans to be ok with that, in that there will be no trouble and all stand peacefully?

Hey guys, bluenose here. Just to clarify there will only be 1,930 blues fans. 1,300 in the east stand and then 630 in the south stand. These are the only tickets we have.

Only 1930 you say...you will double our numbers if we use last sat. Vs Wolves as a baseline. And don't expect us to be making any noise! But you'll enjoy the ground if you haven't been and the friendly pubs.

The last time we had loads of Birmingham City fans in was when we played Tamworth.

I will definitely enjoy the day out. Never been to Burton, heard very nice things though. Thanks for the kind words, Gary Rowett is a hero to us Blues fans and enjoy your season too.

Burton Mail. Accurate as ever Didn't we play Birmingham at Eton Park when Steve Bruce was in charge of the Blues? Think we lost 3-0. Don't remember there being thousands and thousands of Bluenoses there that day. I assume Rowett has got a little bit of wind in their sails at St. Andrews.
