The 20-year-old midfielder made 37 appearances for the Brewers last season and finally broke his Football League duck.
He bagged four goals as Albion took the League Two title – and hit memorable strikes in the wins over Mansfield and Southend.
He has caught the eye of several Championship clubs, with scouts keeping close tabs on his progress.

His current deal runs until the end of 2015-16 – but Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will sit down and thrash out new terms with the Derby-born academy graduate once he has completed more urgent tasks.
"He is already under contract," said the Brewers boss. "I'm concentrating on the others at the minute.
"But I would like to review that for his good work and he knows that."
Palmer has now made 75 appearances in the Football League for Burton and a further 13 in other competitions.
He arrived at the Pirelli after his release by Derby County at the age of 15.
His progress contributed to the eventual release of Lee Bell and the lack of impact former Sunderland playmaker Adam Reed had when he joined the Brewers.
Birmingham City, managed by ex-Albion chief Gary Rowett, are thought to be among the clubs interested in Palmer, whose value has rocketed into six figures with his performances in the last two seasons.
"Matty is coming out of his shell and can be what he wants to become," Hasselbaink said of the promising youngster.
"I'm very impressed but I've got much bigger plans for Matty. He has a bright future, but he's got a lot more in the locker than he's showing at the moment."
