No I think you are about right there mikeyboy, Bobby Moncur it was and the background made it look like the Albion kit as oppsed to Newcastle. Here's a question for you, was that paper yellow or amber ? Masefield/ Annable !

Here's a question for you, was that paper yellow or amber ? Masefield/ Annable ! I thought yellow TM - though that season we played in very smart black and amber stripes I believe. Ritchie Norman as manager and a great team that I think just missed out on promotion? Yes Masefield/Annable and Riley all featuring.

Yes I think your memory serves you correct mikeyboy, that was one of my favourite kits. Was Bobby Goodwin captain that season ?

71/72 kit is one of my favourites but I also like the 67/69 kit too. Have looked at that site a few times in the past, we certainly have had some variations.

I'd agree with that I liked the stripes from 71/72 - thought it was the season before actually but I did really like the 'traditional' Albion colours of black and amber - maybe just because that's how they looked when I started out as a fan. The amber kit with the black trim from 67-69 was a simple but effective alternative when we were in the Southern League Premier Division too. I also really liked the stripes from 2011 to 2013.
