I have no problem with what he says, Pompey is a bigger club and does have greater potential. What we have to do though is continue what we do, prove people wrong again and make that steady progress. I also infer from what he said that should they get promotion, the reward in League One with the salary they could offer would be greater than what we would be able to offer.

I don't criticise Adam for moving on - if he thinks it's a better move for him for whatever reason, then good luck to him. There's no more loyalty or mercenariness applicable to football employees that move or stay, than to workers in any other industry/business - they're different from fans.
I also think that it's true that Pompey will always attract much much bigger crowds than we do and will enjoy a much greater turnstile income than us as a result. This should enable them to play at a higher level than us ........But.........that's not been the case for a while and they have to earn the right to play at a higher level than us by winning football matches and not by counting the number of spectators in the ground......
It'll be interesting to see how they fare next season under Paul Cook and if they are in League One next season.
The other question is will Adam McGurk still be playing be playing in the Portsmouth League One side if they make it?
Maybe in your eyes Adam, Pompey should be playing in the Championship or even the Premiership and you should be up there too playing for them.......now you both, team and player, just have to go out there and do the business........Nothing wrong with ambition........but it would be OK by me if you just said that you fancied a change and living by the seaside for a year or two........

Mcgurk has gone because he's got a far better deal with Portsmouth than he would have got with us , it's as simple as that exactly what I would do if somebody wanted to double my wages for doing the same job .

That doesn't appear to be the case according to what McGurk is supposed to have said in the article.
