Rene Howe was the biggest flop for me, a big expectation signing he had one goal in 19 games and was released.

Mine would be Andy Todd ...he was only with us for a short time, played dreadfully especially against Forest Geen Rovers ..away and then jumped ship to Accrington Stanley who had promoted into the league a year before us...
Mr T's favourite candidate is Frank Wignall! (I married an older man!)

Mr T's favourite candidate is Frank Wignall! (I married an older man!) I remember Frank's mum being a friend of my mum. As a Leeds fan I complained about Frank's dirty play (bit rich from a 70s Leeds fan) and she said, "ooh I know he can be a naughty lad sometimes".

Rene Howe was the biggest flop for me, a big expectation signing he had one goal in 19 games and was released. I agree it was a very big disappointment, never looked fit, never looked interested, tales about him falling out about the boss… I also agree with the Andy Todd thing, watched him come on as sub once (when I used to sit in the stand) and I have never seen anything like it - complete disinterest and lack of inclination. It got me off my seat in anger, very rare...

Mark Robins, we waited half a season for him to get fit and be our next big goal scorer, then when he did play he was shockingly bad.
