Phil Annable, Peter ward, and Ian story moore, he rode so many two footed tackles, dribbling down the wing, socks down, then some fat old pub player would just hack him down thinking of making a name for himself stopping an ex Man United player.
Phil Annable: Don’t know if it was coincidence but if any player fouled a burton player, that said player would be very shortly found on the floor in agony with Phil in very close proximity. Loved him.
so many, love the current squad, dont see to many games as live down south, but this lot excite me, every time we get that ball i feel that somethings going to happen.

Phil Annable played when I first started going to watch the Brewers. He was a centre half, we had Mickey Fletcher, a midfield player in the team at the same time. Both were as hard as nails.

Big Phil Annable not only was he "ard as nails" he was also very reliable and an extremely good footballer, he weighed in with plenty of headed goals and even had a season upfront one year and ended up top scorer ! I think I have already recalled on here some where previously that after one away game I was on the players coach returning home and big Phil was at the back beating everyone at cards as per usual, when someone asked him what had happened to the opposition player who he had slid into and left crumpled in a heap with blood on his shorts, the reply "my studs tore his foreskin" still makes me wince to this day ! Absolute club legend.

I believe Mick Fletcher still attends as a fan and it would be great to get some of these legends back as guests. I think we did have Barker and Round with us a few seasons ago.

Yes I have seen Mick Fletcher at games. I sometimes see Keith "digger" Mole cycling towards Stretton in the opposite way as I walk down to the match. I havn't seen a programme for many a day but perhaps it would be a good feature to trace some of our old boys.

Bring a player back for each home match and introduce him to the fans at half time
Introduce him in hospitality before the match with a brief Q and A
The player gets travel expenses and is allowed to bring 7 friends and family to the match with him
I realise there is a cost involved but that's the kind of thing we could do as we develop as a club and the expenses should be minimal as many will still live local
The cost of 8 free tickets to the match is nothing unless we start selling out!

They do that at Forest every week plus the ex player and family get lunch
And the player gets 200 quid
But I don't think we would have to pay the 200 and lunch might not be needed either
