I actually fancy this game more than Northampton
Could be a real carnival atmosphere

Looking forward to both really...it's so good to have already secured promotion, it seems like one long celebration, which currently keeps getting better.
By that I mean confirmation of promotion at Morecambe and then the news that Southend beating Bury meaning we are guaranteed at least runners-up...just one more step for the big prize now, although it may have to wait until the last day?
Who knows what twists and turns face us in the last 180 minutes (plus added time - for the pedants!) of this season's League 2 football but I wouldn't want to miss a minute of it and being there to enjoy the atmosphere of it all happening?
It wasn't quite the same when we won the Conference title on the last day of the season, as it was all compressed into one afternoon in Torquay.

I will stick with facts for now, so 11 coaches definite and possibly more to be booked up. I will be surprised if we don't take more fans to Cambridge than Morecambe to be honest, Saturdays result against Northampton will have a bearing. My gut feeling is we will need to win to secure the title.

On FB someone said 14 buses now with reservations continuing. There were 5 buses at Morecombe and 727 fans in total. Cambridge will be stacked. AND it has apparently been announced that it will be sit where you want, ignoring the assigned seating on the tickets themselves... Not sure that latter point has been 'announced' one fan on FB says he has spoken to Cambridge and that they say that it will be unallocated. Apparently 1400 tickets allocated in a stand that seats 1600. In the unlikely event we sell all 1400, I am not sure unallocation will work that well… Still it would be better for all if they were unallocated (if there is room) the Burton Boys seem to be determined to sit where they want…

Maybe they are censored.word? Stewards never bothered at Leicester FA cup fame or at Wembley as the burton boys went where they wanted to. It would be a stewards nightmare to attempt to enforce it, won't happen.

I've seen lots of people on FB saying it's okay to go on the pitch in celebration. That doesn't mean it has been announced that they can.
I hope it is unallocated, but if we do sell close to the full allocation I forsee plenty of problems...

I bet you there's someone on a Cambridge football forum regretting the time this time last year when he said
"If any team in this League fills all the away seats this season I will buy the ground a pint!"
Lol

Lol Silly comment! Should I say sorry that I was right over a month ago about Bury not being a real threat to us in the Promotion thread? No, don't think so. LOL

Just out of interest, does anybody know how many we took for the play-off game there in 2008?

Someone called Lorraine Cullum emailed me back and wrote "Please can you speak to the Burton ticket office with regards to this as we have given them all the information" which means that you've got more chance getting blood from a stone. If somebody else has spoken to Cambridge then they either spoke to someone else or they're full of shit and just want to sit where they want. Hopefully it's not another Burnley where I got moved about 4 times because I was always "sat in someone's seat" despite the fact that someone was sat in mine and ended up standing on a ledge at the back of the stand. Something needs to be announced if people are to ignore what's on their ticket. I appreciate we go to many grounds and get tickets with a specific seat printed on them but there's normally plenty of empty seats spare Our club need to communicate things like this better because it just sounds like a receipe for disaster!

Did you email or call our Club? Could someone at Cambridge other than Lorraine Cullum perhaps know the answer? I think Cambridge are just tired of being pestered since they have already answered the question and are simply redirecting you to BAFC
I have no reason to disbelieve any of this.
From FB Ian Carter Ive rang them am told that it will be unrestricted seating and that our club has been given all relevant information the away end holds 1600 and we have 1400 tickets. Do not quote me on this as Nothing official has come out of Burton but I feel if correct the unrestricted seating should be acknowledged to avoid confusion on the day April 21 at 5:45pm · Edited · Like
Tom 'Bafc' Elliott I was told at the shop that its sit where you want Daisy Yesterday at 11:07am · Like

Some one told me that the club were taking bookings on a 7th coach to Cambridge today, listening to many of those around me on the Popside and near the bar at half time that figure will increase significantly and I now won't be surprised if we sell all our allocation of tickets. Would be fantastic if we have to ask for the extra 200 tickets to fill the south stand. From what I was hearing many had been waiting to see if we actually won the title today and depending on whether we did or not would see them decide to go.
