Sorry, it's not the Lee Morris who played for us. This is a guy who has played for lots of non-league sides including Harrogate and Buxton in a previous stint. As far as I recall our old Lee Morris is a youth coach at Derby and turns out for Leek Town, when he is not injured.

I'd followed our Lee Morris as far as Leek Town last season....didn't think it was a move too far for him to now be at Buxton.....but it was an assumption on my part and I didn't know about the other Lee Morris. I'll try and check my facts better next time...

Watched a bit of Calvin Zola playing for Aberdeen v Celtic on BT Sport yesterday. He was doing ok and the commentator thought he was going to make a big difference to Aberdeen this season. Unfortunately he got taken off when Aberdeen had their keeper sent off on the stroke of half time. At least Calv will get on the tv a bit more than he did with the Brewers.

Ex loanee here, Kieran Cadogan has had his contract cancelled by mutual agreement at Conference bottom club Aldershot.

Just noticed that in the Northampton-Torquay game, all three goals were scored by former Brewers loan players who didn't do much here. Jacob Blyth put Northampton ahead, Jordan Chapell got two to win it for Torquay.

I see Matt Paterson is already a fans favourite at Aldershot with a couple of MOTM performances already and having scored the quickest goal in the clubs history yesterday timed at 21 seconds!
'I thought Paterson was an 8/10 today easily the best player on the pitch for the 60 minutes he played, a class act' 'Agree paterson MOM, a great finish for his goal and a sublime cross for the second' 'I think people can see why I was so keen for AS to sign Matt Paterson now. Burton Albion's loss is our gain' 'Seriously hope his groin injury clears up, imagine what he could do for 90 minutes!'

John Brayford
John Brayford needs time to adjust, says Nigel Clough
By Derbysport Saturday, September 14, 2013 FOLLOW By Steve Nicholson
NIGEL Clough believes former Derby County defender John Brayford just needs time to adjust to life in the Premier League.
Brayford spent three seasons at Derby before he signed for Cardiff City this summer, where he has struggled to break into the team.
John Brayford has yet to appear in the Premier League with Cardiff.
Speculation suggested Derby would sign Brayford on loan before the transfer window closed, although Clough said that was never on the cards.
But the Rams manager has hinted he will keep an eye on the player’s situation and has not ruled out a move to bring Brayford back to Pride Park on loan in the future, should he fail to win a regular starting place.

Adi Yussuf..... savethemightyimps.wordpress.com/2013/09/25/is-former-leicester-burton-striker-losing-imps-injury-battle/?Is Former Leicester & Burton Striker Losing Imps Injury Battle SEP 25 Posted by savethemightyimps Leicester City expected great things of Adi Yussuf, but injury wrecked his chances, ditto Tamworth FC, Burton Albion and perhaps now Lincoln City. Following ground breaking treatment he had been expected to have a run out at Sleaford on 3rd September, but he was forced to pull out at the last minute as another strain ruled him out. Sadly it appears lady luck is still failing to finally smile on a player who has the ability and desire to get a second chance at championship level? Thanks for reading Neil Gentleman-Hobbs. Having impressed at the Leicester City Youth Academy under the Direction of John Rudkin and ex-Imp Trevor Peake (Nicky Eaden is also there as a coach) Adi was given a 3 year youth deal at 16. He was a regular in the U18′s and reserves, before going on loan to Tamworth at just 17 but loan was cut short through injury after 2 goals (Eastbourne & Harriers) and 2 assists (Darlo & Harriers again) in just 6 starts. Sven-Göran Eriksson wielded the axe as Adi left along with 10 others. Manager Paul Peschisolido rated Adi highly enough to give him a one year deal after an exciting pre-season . The 18 year old bided his time, scored in the 6-3 demolition of Barnet during the 2011/12 season, but failed to break into the starting line-up, with injury providing as big an obstacle as competition. Last season was a similar story with just 3 starts, plus 8 from the bench, before injury curtailed any first team involvement from October, leading to his release in May. Simmo also saw enough in another promising pre-season showing that was again good enough to earn him a one year deal. It was of no surprise as his trademarks, explosive acceleration and power, see him get behind defences to lethal effect. Alas that has been his downfall, with the mystery injury leading to an abundance of hamstring and other strain injuries, seeing him sit out seasons that have looked promising. He has one leg slightly longer than the other leading to pain and regular strains, such as hamstring pulls which clearly hamper a large part of his natural game. It had been hoped that injections and a modification to his boots might help, but thus far he has been unable to make a single Skrill Premiership appearance, suggesting the lad, who looked brilliant in pre-season may well have to give up the game for good. Adi, can only go one of two ways now, either finally breaking the injury sequence, or being forced to retire from the game at just 20 years of age. Looking at the top scorers in League 2, I note that two of the top five are Chapell at Torquay and Clucas at Mansfield, both averaging 50% with four goals from 8 games.....surely it cannot last...?

Re last two posts, a real shame for Adi, I hope that he can break the sequence, to be finished at 20 would be a real shame.
I always thought Chappell had something about him but I reckon he may just have found a bit of strength, conditioning, confidence that for some comes a little later than others. I think I sat behind his parents and girlfriend at Crewe (his last appearance) and he got some fearful stick (quelle surprise). I wondered whether that was a factor in his 'recall' I don't think he featured for the Blades after that. It wouldn't surprise me if he, and his family thought, why would I stay here to suffer that abuse when I am here on loan meant to be doing Burton a favour.
Don't think I saw Clucas.

Sam Clucas (Mamsfield) is a different player to Seanan Clucas (Bristol Rovers)so not an ex-brewer at all.

Thanks for putting me straight woody - should (but probably won't) teach me to check my facts and not jump to conclusions........I wasn't familiar with the surname Clucas (Lucas yes, but not Clucas) till Seanan arrived with us and now, like buses, two come along at once.....Now I think about it, I did know he'd moved from Hereford to Bristol Rovers - obviously based down that way as he came to us on loan while at Swansea didn't he?

Lee Lucas played one game for us on loan from Swansea City.
Seanan Clucas came to us on loan from Preston North End. After leaving Preston he signed straight for Bristol Rovers.
Neither of these two have ever played for Hereford!
