That situation is like a minefield, especially at a club with so many problems. I've seen many claims and rumours online about the owner(s) of Blackpool which may or may not be true and I do think that you have to be very careful making statements about people in their positions, especially on a public forum where these supposed "derogatory statements" have been made. It does, however, set a very dangerous precedent in that a throwaway comment on a forum like this about a referee or an opposing player (for example) may now be scrutinised and punished. All it takes is for a supporter of another club to see it and report it. There have actually been claims about us and the supposed financial reasons why we don't publish attendance figures on the old "football forum" message board which closed that I'm sure were libellous. One Luton fan seemed to have a particular vendetta against us because of it. The board that has opened up in it's place already has a few comments on there regarding us. linkSome of it is laughable but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Yes spence I am well aware of the claims against us for not publishing the total of away supporters ! Its quite obvious on that forum generally we are still little Burton. Back on topic it is quite frightening to think legal action could be taken against you for commenting on a football forum. In view of Blackpool offering Gary Rowett the managers job when they already had a manager seems to me to stink of double standards. Ooops did I just say that !

It got worse this week with a fan called Frank Knight, a pensioner, being forced to pay £20,000, over accusations that they deliberately sold tickets to allow West Ham fans into the Blackpool end at Wembley in the Championship Play Off final in 2012. Where bags of urine were thrown over the Blackpool fans below. Happily fans from all clubs are rallying round and raised £7,500 for Frank on the first day - a terrific gesture. For those that would like to help Mr Knight.: fansonline.net/blackpool/mb/view.php?id
