I have wondered whether or not I should comment on this funky but after a conversation with an Albion season ticket holder yesterday I have decided I should. Firstly I think you could perhaps look at the situation in the Premier league with how many English managers, staff and players each club have, not trying to be controversial, just a comparison. Secondly as I have pointed out before my wife's parents are both Jamaican born and bred so I know a little about racism. As I stated earlier I had a conversation with an Albion season ticket holder yesterday who I know well, We were discussing who the potential new manager was likely to be, I asked who her husbands preference was and she replied Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but that both of them were worried about the reaction if he got the job, I replied something along the lines of "do you mean with him not having league 2 experience ?". The reply that came back shocked me, no because he is black and a few people who sit near them have stated they will not support the club if we have a black manger and that they don't like us having black players ! Absolutely stunned would be an understatement, I suppose naively I thought that type of prejudice had gone. Obviously not. I rather hope Jimmy Floyd gets the job now.

I understand the point about 'white European' managers and coaches, especially in the Premier League and that is a point I keep forgetting.
The stats are woeful though. I would welcome the Rooney rule if it were possible to modify it for the English situation. Some people may get a surprise. It is a statistical improbability that black and BME coaches are so crap. Given a chance they may prove a few people wrong.
JFH it is then!!!

All men are created equal ! Just to emphasize, where I mentioned about English managers, staff and players employed at Premier league clubs, that statistic would include Englishmen regardless of racial back ground. JFH it is then !

All humans deserve equality of opportunity regardless of our differences.
Corrected that for you.
