Good performance and 2 really decent finishes. Beat Carlisle and a draw at Orient and things will be looking so much better

Good performance and 2 really decent finishes. Beat Carlisle and a draw at Orient and things will be looking so much better Problem is many of those below us are picking up points consistently we need some consistency too. But at least we found a way to score today with midfielders weighing in and Ademola the lad from Palace looks a decent footballer. I was also pleased to see Mason have a good game today and last the 90. Well done lad, although Helm was rated man of the match on FotMob with 7.9.

Well played Brewers! I’m putting last week down as a “blip”. Best game in a Brewers shirt for Mason Bennett today. I’m glad we are sticking with him - he has real talent but needs confidence.

Excellent performance
Hamer back - at the Bolton game 5 weeks ago he was sat in front of us with his knee in a brace. Amazing he can come back and put in 90 minutes like that so soon
Bennett was brilliant today. Solid other performances all round
Other teams are picking up points but 3 more for us against Carlisle and things will be looking good

Solid performance and two well took goals. I really thought watching this that Bristol were there for the taking, so it’s great that we took the 3 points. Really pleased for Gilligan, he played very well, noticed he Celebrated in front of their fans…needs to be included more! Adebomi makes a difference upfront even though he didn’t score he’s got a decent touch including a neat nut meg setting up Helm. Sweeney is looking composed in defence and seems to read the game well. Crocombe looked very safe again although I thought he got caught out slightly by their goal. Got to say Bennett for me had his best game yet for us (as mentioned in previous posts)and that back heel leading to Helm’s great finish was nice to see. Helm’s very confident in those situations.
At the end did the ref blow the whistle before Hudlin intercepted the ball from their keeper? He was in on goal??

Responding to other comments... Agree, Bennett's best game in a Burton shirt. Cannot underestimate the importance of a forward keeping the ball and drawing a foul under pressure. Not the side of the game you see stats about but he relieved the pressure on us time and time again. The backheel was glorious and is what Paterson means by playing with freedom up front. Ola-Adebomi was the quieter hero of this win. Great touches, battles, got an assist and I like how committed he was in the celebrations. Gilligan... Paterson says he can score more. Good words from the manager.
Craig, agree, I have written that five more seconds on the clock and it was 3-1. Hudlin blocked and had an empty net in front of him. Would have been much more of a talking point if the scores had been level or we were one down...

Was at the game and what struck me was the togetherness in the squad. All pulling together to get the result. Am glad we saw out the win as we deserved it. Agree about Bennett, he really got stuck in and was a constant menace with no lack of skill at times. Also a mention about Powell who worked his socks off. To be fair they all did. Toto impressed before he went off injured. His distribution from the back decent. Will Deji walk straight back into the midfield? The ref seemed to blow at the same time that Hudlin won the ball. Your right Colston we would have been fuming if we hadn't been winning at that point. Thought the ref overall had a good game (though we always say that when we win!). Lovely moment with the fans at the end and Gilligan doing the fist pumps lol. The new South stand seats behind the goal are better although not constructed like a permanent structure. Seddon was sat with the fans with what looked like his dad and brother or a friend and Caprice sat at the front on his own. Was he injured? Also an excellent 'fans zone' behind the home end pre-match. Food outlets, bars and a live band. Overall a great day out.

A vital victory at the end of a week when the pack had closed in on us. Gap back up to 4 points ahead of Port Vale & Charlton with the bottom three now some distance behind. I didn't see the game but it sounded a good solid performance and a deserved victory and we must have played OK as I haven't seen any comments from Rovers fans saying we are the worst team they've played this season which is normally par for the course after a game against us. That's MP's fifth game now since he took over and in three of those games we've scored twice which is encouraging from what went before and yesterday it was two midfielders on the score sheet, Gilligan with his first goal and Helm who now have several and is somebody, with the benefit of a full season, could eventually be a player who gets 10 goals a season from midfield. Priceless.
You wonder when we will see Moon and Hughes again but good that we have the new lad Toto who hopefully was withdrawn on 70 minutes as he hadn't played for a while as opposed to being injured. Good to get young Delap on for the last 20 or so minutes and it must have been great for him to take part in a win. Wonder whether he has a long throw like his dad?
Looking forward, clearly Tuesday is a big game and has to be a chance for 3 points. I don't think it will be easy and looking at their results in the last month they have lost lots of tight games and even the Bolton game where they lost 4-1 I think Bolton scored twice at the death to put a gloss on it. If we can win that then there's no reason why we can't get on a positive run and try and pull away from the bottom. I like how MP is talking about catching teams above us as it sends out a positive message to the players and fans and gives the feeling that we are not just here to make up the numbers.
Good day all round and well done to everybody who made the effort to go! COYB!!

On Delap I thought he did very well when he came on and dealt with the vastly experienced Scott Sinclair (also on as a sub) admirably.
