FAO bennyboy, sinfinbovril are we all clear on the A38 tonight. Last couple of Tuesday night games have been a nightmare getting away. Thanks for that. Made it to the ground no problem. B#ll#cks. Question is: am I more pissed off now or when the game finished on Saturday?

I'm not sure where everyone lives, but in Stapenhill it bucketed it down this afternoon and still raining now, so I am not surprised the match was called off.

I am in Bramcote on the edge of Nottingham and there was a massive downpour here around 2.30. Certainly a lot more than steady rain.

After seeing the pitch on Saturday near the seated stand I'm not surprised it was called off after the torrential rain this afternoon. We got to the car park early and thankfully we were listening to Radio Derby in the car when the postponement was announced.

It's been raining here (Derby) steadily since 1.30 with a really heavy downpour for twenty minutes around half three
Never in a million years did I entertain the idea the match would be called off.
There aren't even any big puddles anywhere. Nor at the ground.

I live in Uttoxeter (bet none of you worked that out) and just been raining steadily since early afternoon, stopped about one hour ago. As others have alluded to, the pitch must be in a worse state than it looks, maybe the match will be rearranged in three weeks time and we play Cheltenham twice in five days?

Maybe we should just play two games on that Saturday. 3.00 pm and then an evening kick-off later after a pie and a pint.

Well what do you do when on the way down the A38 and you find out the match is off? SSC to the rescue, the Bass was as always, very moorish👌

The effects of Saturdays self inflicted defeat and tonight's postponement(which couldn't be helped in my view with this afternoon's weather) really rammed home with wins for Reading, Fleetwood and Exeter with the only saving grace a defeat for Port Vale. If you didn't realise it before folks then you should do now, we are well and truly in a relegation scrap. The gap down to two points now with Vale having two games in hand and I actually think it looks like them or us for that last relegation place and could even be both of us with some of the teams below showing signs of life.
I think Charlton will be OK now they have Nathan Jones in charge and although we beat them recently I think it won't take too much tweaking to get them moving up the league. Reading have really picked up and have taken 7 points from 9 recently against Derby, Oxford and Stevenage and I think could go on a run. Oh for another points deduction!
The new manager has got it all on now to get us moving as the pack below has just about reeled us in and that 8/9 point gap from a few months back has now been eliminated. Worrying times.

Whatever happens, if we stay up or we go down, it'll have to be another huge summer rebuild. Many will leave/be moved on.
We are going to have to improve massively, and quickly if we are staying up this season. I just don't know if we have enough about ourselves to do it at the minute.
They should be spending the rest of the week in training doing constant attacking drills.

I wouldn't of thought Burton Albion ground would get waterlogged. Water polo now we might be good at that game.

What would your grandad make of these namby-pambies?

Blimey - the table does NOT look good. At all. For me we are playing a very dangerous game if we want to maintain our League 1 status. Offloading a proven striker at this level and rolling the dice with 4 kids plus Bobby Kamwa and Mustapha Carayol. I am not blaming Martin Paterson as this decision was already in play when he joined.

Agree with all this unfortunately. I too was keeping an eye out for yesterday’s matches and 3 of the 4 results weren’t good for us. As you say, Reading are picking up points against some decent teams, Fleetwood have won their last two, Cheltenham have picked up after an awful start to the season and Port Vale are now looking for a new manager too. All this means the bottom half of the league are now looking to finish in the top eight of the bottom half to avoid the bottom four. Whilst I’m sure they’ll be plenty of twists and turns before the season finishes I can’t help but think this will go to the wire for maybe up to eight teams? I just hope we’ll be safe before then.
