So let me get this straight.
Sunderland lose nearly a quarter of a billion pounds over the last decade which has delivered them five relegation battles in the PL, eventual double relegation in subsequent seasons down to the 3rd tier, scores of mercenary footballers on their books, atrocious football, tens of thousands of empty seats at home games, they’ve made themselves the laughing stock of North East football and all they’ve had to show for it was the EFL trophy. And Tom Flanagan.
Despite all of this their supporters STILL want them to piss away millions on the dream of being in a league they have no chance of winning because it’s a closed club and they’ll also gladly pump money out of their own accounts and into the clubs. Not only that...they’re actually pissed off that they’re not being allowed to do so anymore 😄
Meanwhile recent reports suggest nearly 25% of kids in Sunderland are living below the poverty line and that number is slowly growing.
Society is broken and football supporters continually out themselves as some of the thickest people on the planet.

Bit unfair about Tom though.😁
But I fully agree.
No wait, I do agree about Tom, it was all about the money why he left us.
It all comes back to bite.👍

I love the final comment, which I read as:
"When we're the bigger club and have more money than anyone else, a wage cap is unfair. If we were in the PL where everyone has more money than us, a wage cap would be OK then."

If we were in the PL where everyone has more money than us, a wage cap would be OK then." I think it's doing "bigger" clubs a favour. Spending ridiculous amounts of money on maybe average players and when it doesn't work repeat and repeat, something has to give. I maybe wrong in thinking this, I reckon some players are just looking for clubs now with stability, yes money is in the front of their minds but knowing the club can survive is another consideration. Maybe that's why we've done well recently in our recruitment of players, who knows. We've also got the added bonus of the top training facility available in the country, showers and grub included now.

I don't mean this to sound like I'm taking the p*ss but can you imagine how much Sunderland will have in the bank after this next season? If they're only allowed to spend £2.5m on the playing staff, they'll soon be back in the red. financialfootballnews.com/sunderland-fcs-2018-finances/I know it's from their Championship season but LOOK AT THOSE FIGURES!! However, sadly, if they ever get promoted back into the second tier, they can go for broke (literally) again.
