You can’t knock his footballing ability and in this league he’s a very good signing as we will probably find out. Good luck to him I say, and if we’d have been able to afford him I reckon Bucko would have signed him. I’m not into this Derby/Burton rivalry as lots of Derby fans actually support Burton also.
COYB 👍🏻

I have to agree with Craig. I was hoping Bucko might be able to bring in some of his ex colleagues at Derby......Keogh, Bryson, Martin............all way out of our wage structure no doubt.

The strange thing is , he is supposedly out injured until the end of the year .Unless he has made a miraculous recovery .

The dislike of our neighbours Derby is not based on rivalry as we were not rivals on the field until a couple of years ago. The dislike dates back to the 1970's when Burton had to go cap in hand to our big neighbours at Derby county to borrow a very small sum of money to pay a few essential bills. The sum was peanuts to Derby, but it did not stop their then chairman from suddenly demanding repayment plus interest at very short notice and threatening that he would issue a winding up order against the Albion if we did not pay up within 48 hours. The dislike by older Albion fans stem from those times. Things were very different in those days and virtually every home match there was a collection blanket sent round the ground at half time to help keep us afloat. We are a real football club who have had to struggle and be frugal to get where we are and I love this club more for all of that.

I was unaware of the repayment plus interest bit , but everything else is spot on .

My dislike of Derby is personal and somewhat irrational, hypocritical, tribal and childish. It’s also a bit of fun trying to have a rivalry (which only exists one way - like England vs Germany - the Germans don’t care too much about that match, nowhere near as much as Germany vs Holland). I’d be happy to tell the story, if you don’t mind it being irrational, hypocritical, tribal and childish.

For me, if you look at everything that's wrong with football nowadays (I'm 51 and have just finished reading yet another book about Bill Shankly, just to give you some context) you can always find an example at DCFC.
Moving from the historic BBG to the concrete Plod Park. Ravanelli and his stupid wages for very little return That Argentinian bloke will they, they won't they sign him. Who was cr*p anyway. The way they treated Nigel. And then gave McLaren a bucket of cash The way Keogh was treated made me feel sick. Not particularly the way HE was treated but how the actual drink drivers were not treated. Cos they're young and worth more. Fining a millionaire doesn't work. Drink drive one week, play for your country the next. FFFFF&??X%£XX?X&%?$CK off. Aaaaaaaaaagggghhhhhhhh.
Ooh I feel better now.
PS What I meant to say was that I am glad Richard has found a new club.

I feel much better now, I share your pain. There are a few Derby fans who are good people and proper football fans. It’s not their fault that the club is a fooking joke.
