Takes a substantial wage cut to sign a new 1 year deal, well done Colin.

Another bit of good news. I like Colin, pretty solid, you know what you are getting and not sure he deserved some of the criticism last season. He knows the club and players and in my view better than breaking in another newby.

He’s a decent player when his confidence is up. I feel when he’s been out the team for whatever reason he takes a few games to get up and running again. Would still try him in the centre and play Reece on the left! 👍🏻

Pleased to get another one signed up and at least it gives some healthy competition in at least one position across the defence. We all know the Colin Daniel is no world beater but he generally stays fit and is experienced so in the current climate is somebody I am happy to have in the squad to keep continuity. I wouldn't agree with Craig on this one about him playing centre half as I actually think that for somebody of his height one of his weaknesses is in the air where I can recall him being out jumped at the far post from crosses that have come over from our right, its been nodded back across goal and we have conceded. I just don't think he reads the game well enough and is good enough in the air to play in such a crucial position.
Very interesting about taking a substantial pay cut where I guess he has had a look around at what else is available, realised that there is very little else on offer from other clubs so re signed with us. Probably the right thing for him to do at his age but may say a lot about the state of finances of clubs in the lower divisions.
