Difficult one Sinfin but the game that sticks with me out of all the great games we have seen is Sheffield Wed at home the quality of the football that night was magnificent.

Both home wins against Derby in the Championship for me with the first one probably being the best of the two.
For those that have followed the Brewers through the years the thought of playing them in a competitive game, especially a league game, was almost unthinkable. To beat them at home twice is just beyond belief.
100% record at home to the Rams. Played 2 Won 2. Doesn't get much better than that!!

10 man Burton 4 York 3. 2007. Losing 3-1 with 10 minutes left. York fans from singing “you’re just a small town in Derby” to stony silence in 10 minutes. Priceless. Happy happy days.

Pub team v Boston. Back in the days of the Doc Martens league an away cup draw against Boston away led a certain Fatty Evans to brand Burton as nothing but a pub team. Both teams came out at Eton park to chants of you'll never beat the pub team, I seem to remember that chant going on for most of the game. I can't remember the score but I do remember that the Brewers won to wipe the smile off fattys face. It may have been the same match that saw Anton Thomas? and Colin Hoyle (Boston) sent of for fighting reducing both teams to ten men.

I remember beating Crawley at home in our promotion season and the place going mad at the end. In his interview, Evans very sarcastically said "There was so much noise, you'd have thought they'd just won the FA Cup, not just beaten Crawley." We were all just delighted to have got one over on you, old fruit. Grudges? Nah...

Not favourite Brewers game ever, but does anyone recall 2 fantastic high scoring games away at Hereford.
1) 20 February 2010. Hereford 3 Brewers 4.
Shaun Harrad scored on 9 minutes, they scored 3 goals on 28, 55 and 59 minutes to have us 3-1 down.
Cleveland scored on 60, Aaron on 66 and then got sent off on 90+2. Tony James nodded home the winner at the far post on 90+6.
2) 19 November 2011. Hereford 2 Brewers 3.
A goal down on 19 minutes. Calvin equalised on 24. We were 2-1 down on 34 minutes. Aaron 90+1 and Billy 90+3 won the game for us.
I always used to like going to Hereford. That huge car park, the nearby chip shop and that quaint little ground. I really wanted us to beat Barnet on that last game of the season in 2012 to save Hereford. Are they still looking for the ball after that Calvin penalty?

I really wanted us to beat Barnet on that last game of the season in 2012 to save Hereford. Are they still looking for the ball after that Calvin penalty? I was there for the second game. The thing I remember about Billy Kee's goal is that the goalkeeper almost pushed it into the net. I was one of the last people out the ground cos I just kept looking at the far end, thinking, "That's where those two classic goals were scored" - the Newcastle game. Tell you what, though, maybe I should start a thread called "Worst Away Pies Ever". Hereford would win. Their ground was next to a cattle market, for goodness sake, so I expect a bit of quality? I purchase a pie in the ground, thinking 'Meat Pie' might contain some meat. Jack Spratt's wife (for you older viewers) would have loved it; not one piece of lean. A gristle pie. Awful. The win made up for it. Well, not really - I love a good pie.

And reportedly knocking a few tiles off the dressing room wall when he got back in there (Colin Hoyle) I heard.
Incidently, I used to work with Colins dad, he sometimes came and stood with us to watch when Colin signed for the Brewers.

21st September 2004.
Barnet 2 - 3 Burton.
The day, the result, the performance and the fans. All absolutely incredible.
Nigel was under pressure. Lee Brewer had recently been brave enough to anonymously hang his Clough Out flag outside the Pirelli, having been one of a dozen or so who'd made my life a living hell on the forum and then the obvious emotion of BC passing the day before.
Sometimes there is a football god.
Sometimes I wonder how fans like Lee still convince themselves they know what they're talking about.
3 decades of arguing with idiots.
Blimey what a waste of time.

We were hanging on in there for the points. Cloughie brought himself on a few minutes before the end. The Barnet fans gave him a standing ovation.

Not a favourite but does anyone recall Barnet 3 Brewers 6 in 2011?
I remember the final words on the radio as I parked my car. 'No doubt about the game of the day in London'. I drowned out the presenter saying Chelsea v Arsenal by shouting 'Barnet v Burton Albion'.
Goals from Billy on 7 and 31 with a reply from them on 39 saw us head in to the break 2-1 up.
Barnet scored again on 55 but Billy completed his hat trick on 62. 3-2 to us. Then 2 real collector items, Adi Yussuf on 74 and Jack Dyer on 84 and it was 5-2. They pulled one back on 88 but Calvin scored on 90+4.
I walked back to the car and scoffed at the proclamation that Chelsea v Arsenal was the game of the day in London. 'Bet it was 0-0' I said to myself. It actually finished Chelsea 3 Arsenal 5 !
