Keep tabs on the Black Cats, they keep coming up with players they want but never seem to capture. A few or their fans (on twitter etc) seem to think if Parkinson is eager to sign players then he should get on with it and not keep putting it off or making excuses.
Us on the otherhand, well NC keeps stum and lets us know when players are landed. Jamie Murphy seems a little different, NC has given us a little info on the situation but we know he will do his best for the club.

I read it as unofficial website links Sunderland with everyone but speaks to no-one. They feed off other people's work or make stuff up

It seems they link everyone and anyone to them if available. As I said in another post Phil Parkinson seems to be dragging his feet on signing up players (so the fans say) but has he even gone for them in the first place?

Reading between the lines you do wonder whether their owner, who wants to sell the club, will be prepared to commit to any form of transfer fee given it will probably have to be him personally who stumps up the cash. A lot of the links it seems are loans and frees which does hint at a reluctance to pay fees. If that is the case it may scupper things for Boyce assuming he is keen on going there.

It may well be that we now need to shift Liam or Scott to be able to afford Jamie. As much as I love them both, I'd take that as Murphy is simply a better player than both. It's the first time I've seen Nigel acknowledge Scott Wii likely leave, now or in the summer. Reading between the lines I'd say Nigel is preparing US fans that Scott may be leaving us this window. I THINK I know Murphy's agent and if it is who I think it is, he'll certainly be trying to get a deal over the line that suits us and the player. I don't believe Murph would drop to league one for any other manager. My main concern with the link being made public is it may alert bigger clubs higher up the pyramid. He really is too good for league one, even if only for five months. It's interesting that so far in this window there have been no real rumours about Fraser going anywhere apart from one unsubstantiated link with Cardiff. I just wonder whether anybody will be prepared to pay a fee for him in this window and may wait until the summer to try and get him on a free. There is no doubt he is a class player for a club our size but I don't buy into the theory that there will be a queue of Championship teams lining him up. In fact I have my doubts as to whether he would be effective at that level as I think there are doubts over his fitness levels and his ability to play three games a week whilst maintaining his standards. In fact the other night he was fairly anonymous and came off with fifteen minutes to go looking completely knackered!! Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to put the bloke down as it's great to see somebody like him playing for the Brewers but I think for him to get a good deal for himself personally he may have to wait until the summer to cash in. I would be happy with that as it gives us a better chance of success this season with him and who knows, if we somehow managed to go up he would have a Championship team after him...us! Let's see how it pans out.

Is there any possibility one of our outs could be going to Rangers?
And that's why we may be in a good bargaining position to get the loan in other direction?

Now this would be a statement of intent, previous injury is a bit concerning but if he stays fit we’ve got some player on our books. Interesting that if he does sign we won’t have anymore loan spots left in the squad providing we don’t lose a loanee so if Boyce does leave could we expect a permanent striker coming in? Or will Clough be happy with what we have already? Coming back to your loan point Westender, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us reluctantly send Nathan back to Everton. There is no doubting the lad has a future but it looks like this season has come a bit too soon for him physically. Such a shame after a brilliant start. Now we've got Murphy who can play through the middle as well as out on the left, Temps looking as fit as he's been, I don't really see a spot for the young lad.

Gone to Hibernian
Kind of hoped we’d get him back. I guess Cloughie leaving did for that

Class player though and it was great to watch him Play in a Brewers shirt. He was a class player for us and it somehow kind of felt wrong that we only won once out of ten with him in the side. He scored seven times in those games when we weren’t really at our best in the games just before lockdown so can only imagine how many goals he would have scored if we’d been playing better. Best wishes and good luck to him at Hibs though and hope he does well for them.
