After hearing he will miss the rest of the season today after sustaining injuries to his knee in the car crash on Tuesday night, it seems strange to me that Derby or Nottingham Forest have still to submit a report on what actually happened at the city ground the other week with his altercation with a groundsman. Has anybody heard anything about this?

What has happened to certain players at Derby is a travesty for the club, Whilst struggling in the league, losing Keogh, and all the added pressure it brings to the club, Forest fans will be loving this, they could hire a plane, and fly a banner over pride Park [ Dont Drink and Drive ] Is Rooney still banned from driving, after the same offence. Begs the question With all the money these players are paid. supporting the local taxi firm seems sensible after a night on the town, 3 first team players involved, could affect results, and certainly effect team moral. Looks to me that their is a I in team at Derby

With the news coming out of Pride Park that Richard Keogh has been sacked it appears, as an outsider looking in, that the Derby hierarchy are operating double standards. This decision appears to be all about money, player fitness and potential resale value.
Lawrence and Bennett, the two drink drivers, who have been found guilty by a court of law, were back in the team having missed the game after the incident where fans are told that the club need to guide and support these young men through their issues. On the other hand, the 33 year old captain, a passenger in one of the cars, who earns £25k per week but can't play for 14 months at least is sacked with immediate effect.
I personally think all three should have been sacked but then that would have had a financial impact on the club so what do I know. Just hope for Mel Morris's sake that he's up to date on his employment law process otherwise their will be expensive solicitors all over this!
Whilst I have no time for Derby County as a club or it's fans you can only hope that when the January window comes around they can perhaps bring in a player, perhaps with international experience, who can set a good example to the younger players and has an impeccable record both on and off the pitch. Somebody like...Wayne Rooney. Perhaps not!!

Unbelievable! The next Sheep crisis is always not far from the last one. Don't you just love The Sheep for the entertainment value, And that doesn't include Football.

There are some on Twitter that have said there was another factor...

Derby are now consolidating their status as a Championship club, in 2013 they were a top 10 championship club ,with a thriving academy built on a shoestring. a club with stability after being brought back from the brink of another relegation. Now the club keep two drunken drivers who have broke the law and sack a drunken passenger who did not break any law but got injured has a passenger. Now after 6 years of big spending stating the club is a premier league club and must move onto the next level and sacking the manager is the way forward. The football club now have no ground.have spent over 100 million on the club, now on their 10th manager since 2013.= 10 in 6 years, and sit 16th in the championship. a long standing law suit with former C_E_O Sam Rush, crying out for more investment, losing millions every month, most of the news coming out negative. This latest decision reflects standards since 2013 poor and could bring just another law suit.on the face of it seems double standards

Keogh can't play football for at least 12 months maybe never again, who knows. Bennett and Lawrence can play football, so therefore can earn their wages, well sort of. I think all three players had made a very poor judgement that evening and for me the only outcome is removed from the club. I can see the remaining two going in January one way or another, they maybe know this.
My home town club and one which I watched up until the mid 90's, sadly they have dipped below what I expect from a football club. Every cloud has a silver lining though, that's why I'm here.
