I am out of the country... I may buy the pass, or just follow the live text.
Both are just as good for me.

Crewe Alexandra 3rd in league 2 ,a club known for their academy they play their home games at the Alexandra Stadium capacity 10-151 with a average attendance 4-951. A rams favourite Paul Green playing for them. The manager David Artell, started coaching at their academy and now runs the first team. I think both teams will consist of players needing game time, and injured players will be rested, and the result, will not bother fans of both clubs. i expect a game played with both teams going for a result, and for me Burton should come out with a draw

This competition wants boycotting, it's just an excuse to get Premier League B Teams into leagues 1 & 2. Anyone going must be happy in a few years time when we're back in Non League and Leagues 1 & 2 are full of Premier League B teams.

I genuinely could not care at all about this game. Play all the kids and fringe players for a run out. Who cares

Not sure why we've named 2 GK's and left 2 empty spots on the bench when we have three academy graduates on pro deals sat around twiddling their thumbs.

So I can't see them competing in the English Football League any time soon. Gives (largely) English players the chance to try out adult football...

I genuinely could not care at all about this game. Play all the kids and fringe players for a run out. Who cares Last year I remember hearing Nigel say there was good prize money for this. So that's a reason to take it seriously. And judging by the team we have put out he has taken it seriously.

It's a good win and the only positive for me is that it keeps momentum going. You say prize money is good, well I can only imagine that is for the final or winning it. Attendance tonight of 917 including 71 brewers would suggest the public feel the same as I do about this tournament - apathetic. Why not have a knockout competition? Instead of a stupid group stage. It's pathetic. Everton at home for us could be a record low crowd. We could sit in the dugout with nigel.

Prizemoney:
20k for taking part
Group stages 10k for a win, 5k for a draw
Round Two: 20k for a win
Round Three: £40k for a win
Quarter Final: £50k for a win
Runner-up: £50k
Winner: £100k
(Bearing in mind for many years in League 2 we would average 80k to 100k profit in a season)
We can make that (income at least) just from making the quarter finals
It is decent prize money.

Interesting. Better than I thought. My concern is that we are already progressing in the EFL trophy and we are shaping up well in the league.. We do not want to overload our small squad with the burden of injuries at home to Everton under 21s...

Went to the game tonight and apart from the first 10 minutes and last 5 we were pretty dominant and could really have had seven or eight tonight. We put out our strongest available side and fortunately, despite apathy towards this competition from not just our supporters but many others, the players put in a fully committed performance and played some great stuff. This team is really starting to gel together and tonight will have helped that process and stand us in good stead for the next run of games.
From my point of view tonight was very enjoyable and I just love watching this team take opponents apart regardless of the competition. Anybody banging on about this being a pointless competition just needed to see the level of commitment given by the likes of Quinn, Akins, Brayford etc. tonight to realise the players are giving 100% for the cause and will try their best to beat whoever is put in front of them.
Great evenings entertainment for the 71 present and I for one am looking forward to the next few games, especially Everton U21's!!!!
COYB!!!

Yes I get that entirely We've also got the FA Cup in the new year as well At some stage getting knocked out of these tournaments could be a blessing In the meantime take the extra money Train less - play more competitive games The winning habit is good

It will only happen if they keep winning anyway. Keep winning matches and get more days off is a good motivational tool!! The cup matches themselves are good training and prep for the league as well in many ways Nigel will figure it all out

Pretty good game I thought with lots of really good football from us again. Good to hear Gilly on commentary.

I got to the game 35 minutes from the end from work-so there were actually 72 of us!
In that time, we played some great stuff. There is so much to be excited about with this team.
Last time I mention it (sorry) but the small squad still worries me and it does seem strange that our three youngsters did not even make the bench.
Clough knows his stuff though, I don't.
