Delighted that Derby are through to the play-offs. Here’s hoping they now get to the final and fulfil my pre-season prediction.

Once more to the challenge of premier league football, 32 thousand plus on sky, watched their last match must say our neighbors down the road have got the support of the fans. Lets see after spending 44 million on players, they achieve the playoffs again. 6 years after sacking clough, for a new level, and then the next step, the club are in the playoffs. The club have now no ground, and have become 5 separate companies, with a e-s-t 11 million lease back on the ground per season. So they are now desperate for the riches of the premier league. 3 important games that could define the club. They are our close neighbours. and we wish them well, In another world with their finances,we know Burton Albion fc would be a Premiership club

Thought I would reignite this thread as it sums up how I feel about the Rams being charged by the EFL for breach of financial fair play rules. Excessive spending and dodgy deals over the ground have finally caught up with them and looks like they could be heading for a points deduction and a relegation battle. They deserve everything they get!!

I hope that there is a Rooney quote somewhere along the lines of 'I want to lead Derby County out of the Championship'.

Its like a soap opera, no more like a comedy sketch, Millions of pounds spent on players. all leave for nothing to reduce the wage bill, Derby County is now 4-5 different company s to work within company law,and we all know that means hidden assets and dept, another triumph for company lawyers. If their is a escape route dont worry they will find it. Not been the same since 2013/14 a stable club on the way up But someone was removed, so the club could be run by the owners. like asking a joiner to do a brain operation.

And you know despite the flagrant jiggery pokery by the Rams, Villa, Wednesday, Readjng and many others, I have a degree of sympathy with the Rams position. If you are going to 'cheat' get the EFL to sign it off... Appears they did.

I don't know why everyone's panicking. Derby should spend a fortune they haven't got, get into the Premier League and then they'll live happily ever after with Wayne Rooney at the helm, pushing for a Champions League place, maybe even the semis.
I think it's a very strong business plan. These blokes know what they're doing.
When has it EVER gone wrong?
