So far so good.
Quinn with a beautiful goal.
New keeper looking good distribution wise. Only shaky bit was a couple of minutes following the goal.
Makeshift defence is holding up well.
On we go...

Terrific effort first half. Prob shud have been 2-0 before dons came on strong late in first half. Reece done v well ben fox sticking to the task well. Lucas great in the air and turner is winning his battles. Liam chasing a lot of hopeful balls but is too good fot their CB’s when we get him in. 🤞🤞 fir the 2nd half

Dons have had a go last 20 but turner and akin have been superb. Reece v tired now but been impressed with him. This has been a gutsy win with plenty of quality all over the field

Lucas Akins. 181 games in four years playing at all three levels of the Football League. Top scorer for two seasons. Played every position apart from left back (as far as I know) and goalkeeper. Never moans, never shirks his duties, gets his head down, gets on with the job and he’s a thoroughly nice bloke to boot.
Best money we ever spent and a Brewers legend as far as I’m concerned.

It was a pleasure watching two bafc home growns at full backs being educated in a league game by two older pro’s in lucas and ben. Thats the way to learn and develop.

Very satisfying, superb effort and No little skill from all 14, some really promising performances. I'm not getting carried away, we rode our luck at times and they missed a few chances, but, delighted for the back 5 with the clean sheet and three well taken goals.

What a difference a week makes! Four new players, two great wins and performances, kept our star player, a great cup draw etc.
Immediate post Oxford seems a long time ago all of a sudden!!
Have to agree with the Lucas comments. An absolute diamond.

Templeton and Fraser look like absolutely phenomenal signings.
Boyce is wonderful.
Akins is wonderful.

The whole team seems to have really picked up since we changed the goalkeeper. (Sharp intake of breath ) . 😛

Really enjoyed that performance today. Reece Hutchinson played well at left back. Still alot to learn but attempted to support going forward when had the chance. Fraser - best game so far, power and distribution was great but star men were Boyce and Templeton. Boyce never gives up on anything and Tempo showed some good skill and crossing , great wing play. At 3 nil you could see the confidence in the team. Akins slotted in superbly at the back.

Very satisfying display and result and to keep a clean sheet with the makeshift defence was great, albeit a bit it was fortunate at times. Fair play to Lucas, he gives his all and looked OK today but clearly when Kyle returns he will move further forward and after today it will likely be at the expense of Sordell.
Some really strong performances all over the pitch today with Turner, Boyce, Fraser and Templeton the stand outs for me. The young players will benefit from today and are still a bit raw but it looks good for the future.
You have to say that you wouldn't expect them to finish above us over a full season and although I never felt 100% comfortable what with their long ball tactics it was us who had the quality when it mattered.
I expect us to get stronger over the next few weeks with competition for places hotting up which is what the new signings give us.
Looking forward to Tuesday now with what should be a youthful line up I expect although not sure what the rules are in respect of playing your strongest team.
Finally, in what was my first competitive game of the season, I thought the atmosphere was terrific which was purely a reaction to how well the team played. Well done all round!!
