Just noticed there's an abnormal amount of people viewing this message board today. Clocked over 300 not long ago when it's normally around 20/25. I'm guessing most are here to see a meltdown but instead they've got a bunch of level headed people talking about their football club. Those frequent moments when we rise above people's expectations of us... Looking for a good quote... Can't believe we didn't win yesterday. It was all the refs fault and if he hadn't given the penalty we'd have won 3-2. Everyo knows that's true...

It was painful listening to the game in the car on Radio Derby. No real positives from the game but surely Naylor should have started in the defensive midfielder role in Murphy's absence rather than McFadzean. Agree that Warnock / Buxton have not really strengthened the team. Warnock is past it IMO, and is Buxton better than Mouse? Mouse had some pace at least. It might take NC a while to find his best team though with all the new arrivals. NC has done his best as we cannot go out and spend £m's on a player like virtually every other Championship team. Need to keep this in perspective as Leeds are probably one of the best sides we shall meet this season. Like last season forget it and move on. I cant understand why NC made so many changes yesterday when the team where just starting to gel. I have to say I feel sorry for Tom Naylor as he was left out and didnt even get a game. Our previous 3 matches that we played we had great results and Tom had Played in all 3, and we won 2 and drew 1, and Tom scored V Cardiff who are top of the league; so why leave him out. I agree with some of the other comments about Warnock and Buxton as they are both a liability and are costing us games especially Bucko. NC seems to bring in players and puts them straight in to the side even when we have been doing well with our current players, IMO it just disrupts the whole team and the way we play and are the new players any better than we already have ?.

Leeds and the cost of a ticket, shows that with quality players you can compete with the best, the gulf today was immense .Leeds today shows the magnitude of a top football club, and why we can watch a home games for 20 quid. Watching Burton today was hard ,The goalkeeper should be man of the match, there was so much traffic going his way, I don't like shots from outside the box going in when the goalkeeper has a good view. the defence was ripped apart by skill and pace. With others concerned that Buxton n Warnock not good enough for Derby-ok--- but Wigan also-- -Midfield- Macfadzene out of his depth. And skill on the ball poor. Two div 1 players our defensive and forward threat ,stopping the opposition and our supply line to the forwards, sorry just totally overwhelmed. Forwards non existent total efforts on goal, one from a midfield player not even on target. Nigel says move on, bottom line only 3 points lost away from home. Shipping a lot of goals, remedy required, Norwich also a dangerous place to go, where isn't in this league, Back to basics enjoy the journey, tomorrow is another day

Bad news - confidence damager potentially. Best thing to do is move on to Tuesday
Good news - Murphy will be back in the 11 on Tuesday. In the starting XI to come back in we have Akpan, Murphy, Sordell, Dyer.
Personally think sordell and akins up top has worked well so far.
Just hope Scannell doesn't start thinking he's made a mistake and becomes disinterested

We were always going to lose against Leeds(my tip for champions this season) We were always going to struggle without Luke Murphy sitting in front of the defence and a debutant in his place. A few going a little overboard. I dont see too many teams taking much away from Elland Rd if anyone. No point looking back, the games gone now, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and go again as we did all last season.
Bring on Norwich.

Would have thought the team was realistic about how yesterday might pan out so I doubt it will have battered confidence much.

Controversial! N.C. definitely blobbed the Liverpool game last season in favour of targeting Derby a few nights later. It worked well. I reckon it could occasionally be a strategy in the league , particularly early in the season and when we face several games close together (like this week). I'd exchange a few of last season's style heroic away losses for the odd thrashing and a few less cards / injuries & extra points from the games that we really should be getting something out of!
Could be just another back to front way of looking at things though!

Oh for goodness sake, please tell me it's not true... say you didn't mean it... Rumours Akins has left Burton Albion just at the mere suggestion..
