About the Pub
After several years as a struggling pseudo-nightclub culminating in closure, this erstwhile pub (built for Bass in 1962) has been refurbished, re-opened (November 2014) and revitalised by new owners under its original name. The interior comprises a large, smart, bright and airy, L-shaped room with the bar counter running around the inside corner. There is a mixture of booths at the side (which can be pre-booked), comfy settees in one corner, and high tables with bar stools in the centre. As a sports bar managed by former Burton Albion star Aaron Webster, there is an inevitable football theme, and no fewer than 20 wall-mounted TVs spread around the premises! Discos, with DJ, are held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 8pm. No meals at present, but there are plans to introduce food in 2015. No pub car park, but large public car parks nearby (free after 8pm).

whatpub.com/pubs/BOT/1058/locomotive-sports-bar-burton-upon-trentMy extra infoA sports themed pub, relatively newly refurbished. This is more of a central Burton pub. It is around half an hours walk from the ground (ten minutes to the railway station, then another twenty to the ground) but is next to own's shopping centre car park and parking although has to be paid for is 'easy'.

About the Pub
This friendly, Victorian, two-roomed local, which has changed little since the 1950s, is situated towards the northern edge of the town. It is now (since April 2015) leased by the Wentwell Brewery and largely free-of-tie. Very much a community pub, it offers a step back in time to a more relaxed pace of life.
Three Wentwell beers (choice varies) are generally available, one of which is usually a dark beer, but sometimes a Wentwell beer is replaced by a second guest beer. Food is limited to fresh filled cobs.
Cheesy Quiz Night Tuesdays; monthly live music (see Facebook page for details).
Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium is 800m distant.
Pub now accepts card payments with limited cash back to £30.

whatpub.com/pubs/BOT/1989/derby-inn-burton-upon-trentMy info:-A couple of years ago this popular pub was acquired by the Derby micro brewery Wentwell. It serves real ale, including Champions Bitter 4.3, a selection of ciders and a selection of home made cobs / rolls / baps (depending on which part of the country you come from). It is situated between the railway station and the ground and is a 10 minute walk from the ground. Limited parking is available at the pub and on Derby Road, plus opposite. This is a small pub which is not suitable for large groups, more for smaller groups who want a more traditional real ale option.
