Unfortunately that's one less decent and reasonable poster on here now.
Funky - you will be missed by many on here. Please come back sooner, rather than later.

I've clearly missed something here. Sorry to see you go Funky, I think we shared similar views on the Brewers. I hope you return here someday.

Really? Funky? Not like you at all, but I fully understand. I struggle with it all too a lot of the time. See you soon.

According to their profiles both Peacock and Funky have been deleted. Do we know whether they have taken the decision themselves or was it taken out of their hands by admin?

Peacock gone? Are we allowed to mention Gary Rowett now?

Peacock gone? Are we allowed to mention Gary Rowett now? If we take a minute by minute games comparison between Rowett and JFH looking at actual seconds per minute when the ball was within 6 inches of a Burton player's toe, you will see that under Rowett we averaged at 1.2 seconds per toe inch minute, whilst this was almost doubled under JFH to 2.22 seconds per toe inch minute. THE STATS DON'T LIE!

Before Jimmy came we weren't really a football club, just a few small boys kicking a can around, using jumpers for goalposts.

I am the one previously known as funky. I left because I was not going to allow a fall out between myself and Norah. She has the most difficult of tasks and the managing a spat between me and another was not fair. One of us had to go.
I will be back no doubt at some time, but funky is gone forever, to meet up with the Goodies somewhere.

One of my biggest gripes about forums is, it's too often the whiners/negative/wind up merchants who see decent positive supportive posters either leave or get banned/warned.
One poster causes the majority of the issues and then when someone/anyone stands up to them it's the "positive" ones who suffer.
I don't think it can be a coincidence that within a week of coming back on here I spotted Peacock as being the one causing most of the rows/disagreements and I know people will tell me it's a free world and people are entitled to their views, but when those views are pissing off the majority, then it's a real shame.
I've spent 15 years on forums defending my views on NC, I STILL remember the old CTMD and certain posters on there giving me an incredible amount of stick, I still remember one of them putting a Clough Out banner up at the Pirelli, he now seems to be one of the supportive brewers. I must say it's been eye opening to see a couple of people I used to row with are now some of the most supportive voices around Clough.
It's a real shame that at this time in the clubs history some STILL need to find fault, some STILL need to be negative. I've never understood what "they" think they're achieving.
I'll miss you Funky, I don't quite get this facebook page being more popular than the fans forum but I guess I'll need to jump over there to keep seeing your sensible views.
Catch up with you soon pal. All the best.

Sorry to read you are leaving Ian. I understand your reasons, I think very similarly to you regarding our beloved BAFC. Look forward to seeing you at the games still. Take care my friend.

We'll miss you and your good sense. I hope you'll be back in time to share your enjoyment of the Brewers' moment in the sun. All the very best and we'll see you in the Club. Get those cobs buttered. May the Brewers' performance in the Championship match the quality of your Draught Bass.

My view of this is:- its only an internet forum, that's all, its not life or death.
THE BREWERS HAVE JUST GAINED PROMOTION TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP, AMAZING.
Both of you get yourselves re registered and lets all enjoy this tremendous time together, if you disagree with someone its ok to make your own point or take it with a pinch of salt, just remember though that every ones opinion is the right opinion to themselves, if we all agreed about everything there would be no need to talk at all.
THE BREWERS ARE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP HAPPY DAYS.

Agreed Swaddy. I often disagreed with Peacock, but he made interesting contributions to discussions.
