Tonight, or Friday morning to be exact - USA Women v England Women (Kick-off 12.45am).
Coverage of the opening match of the SheBelieves Cup for both teams, which takes place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This is an invitational tournament that also features Germany and France, and will see all of the teams play each other once in a round-robin format.

What a condescending, patronising name for a cup!
Apparently called after a campaign, but f@@@ing Norah! What a dreadful name. Will the official match sponsors be Max Factor make up, Tampax, and Persil washing powder?

It's a brainchild of the U.S. Women’s National Team players....? In an effort to give back to the young fans that support them on the field, the U.S. WNT players are sending a simple yet powerful message back: #SheBelieves. Conceived and developed by the USWNT players, the #SheBelieves campaign is a message to young girls that they can accomplish all their goals and dreams. www.ussoccer.com/stories/2015/05/12/16/37/150512-shebelieves-community-launch-rel

Well intentioned but trite and still patronising!
Turn it the other way round. Think of a cup for males and call it Hebelieves... Equally silly!

I think the idea behind it is fine, I think that the way we see the word 'she' is the difference. Over here it is the 'cat's mother', I am not sure it is the same in the States.
Most cups/tournaments around the world at the moment are 'He Believes', I see their point.

What a goal... I recorded and watched this game, Ilove the way the ladies just get up and get on with the game when fouled, no rolling around like wounded ducks. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35723307

Well, 13 years ago I watched every game of the Women's World Cup held in L.A. Including the Third Place and Final games. It wasn't happening then and it isn't happening now. Let's give them some credit eh? The men can learn something from the women's game, play fair and play football.
