The Spanish papers have Jimmy in line for Rafa's job. Point being, it's all a load of tosh until someone makes a move for him. When Gaz was asked to an interview by Blackpool and Brum we were advised about it before it happened. I think the same will happen with Jimmy whenever Jimmy is approached.... Remember this? www.itv.com/news/central/2015-10-03/jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-flattered-by-interest-from-championship-club/Jimmy is a total professional and it would be totally disrespectful for him to answer questions about a job he hasn't even been approached about, unless you think Ben is l-ying?

Jimmy still not putting speculation to bed in his post match interview.
To paraphrase he's saying he wont comment on said press speculation.

Jimmys comments post match:
As for the reports surrounding a possible move to QPR, Hasselbaink said: "I can't control anything about the speculation.
"Myself, in front of my players and my board, I'll be respectful to them and give it all I've got.
"We did really well, made sure we were professional. If people are going to talk, they'll talk, if they want to write, they'll write."
Asked if he would be in the dug-out at QPR this weekend, he added: "That's news to me. As far as I'm concerned, I'm in training tomorrow morning with Burton Albion."
Not a stone wall denial. But it's closer to a denial than a 'No comment'. If he goes, he goes. But I have a huge amount of respect for the guy and see him in the PL in a couple years!

You can say it's close to a denial but not really
It's nowhere near saying "I've got a job to finish here and I am staying to finish it"
That's a "they've not offered me the job yet" statement
JFH could say I will be staying at the club til end of season - instead he's said "as far as he knows he's still training us tomorrow"
That's a one day at a time commitment

He CAN control the speculation. "I'm not interested in the QPR or Fulham jobs" more than controls the speculation. It kills it stone dead.

He CAN control the speculation. "I'm not interested in the QPR or Fulham jobs" more than controls the speculation. It kills it stone dead. Spot on And I'm not holding this against JFH He can even say it far nicer than that "I am extremely flattered by the interest shown in me by Fulham and QPR. They are both fantastic clubs and I would be honored to be given the chance manage them one day. However, at this stage of my career the time is not right and I have a job to finish at Burton Albion." He's not saying that because these opportunities can't be turned down. People say "he doesn't need the money" - I don't buy that. Everybody needs the money. You can never have enough. He may actually see QPR as a stepping stone to an even bigger job longer term. He is also capable of failing at QPR.

His young family live in Surrey and he commutes and lives 4 days a week in Burton on his own Prior to this he was commuting to antwerp and living away from them then as well What do you think his missus will be hoping happens?
Can't think of many realistic jobs he will get offered near his wife and kids better than this one Our best and only chance of him not going to QPR IMO is they offer the job to someone else
If they offer it Rowett then we can expect Birmingham to come calling again but QPR would surely be the preferred job for JFH
JFH is flavour of the month
I guess as long as we keep getting results then we just have to live with this
Ps I am not trying to be negative here - I am just trying to be realistic
Future of our manager is upto QPR

We had this with Rowett, wouldn't deny nor confirm his interest by various clubs, although it was well documented about him speaking to Blackpool. Same happened at Derby with Maclaren, still convinced they would have made the Prem last season had all that nonsense over Maclaren hadn't happened, they were absolutely rolling teams over up to December.
Like has been said, not just Jimmy, why don't they just say, not interested and we take it as a no. Saying nothing, well it presents all this speculation.

Again, he will not say 'I'm not interested', or 'I am interested' until the club is approached. Each statement would be disrespectful to one of the clubs involved and that's not his style.

I'm 100 per cent he would go if offered the job But it's not 100 per cent he will be offered the job yet Lots of decent name managers around would jump at the same job Now if Rowett went to QPR and Birmingham came for JFH would he fancy that job?

JFH 5/6 favourite
Rowett 11/4
Everybody else 10/1 or higher
Would Rowett leave Birmingham for QPR
I guess money they offer may make that happen?
But he's doing great at Birmingham
Far easier for QPR to take JFH from us
Having said that if I was being honest I think Rowett would be the better appointment for QPR
The extra experience he has surely makes him the better candidate at this stage?

I don't think he'd take the Birmingham job. The two London clubs tick a lot of boxes for Jimmy and despite the phenomenal job Rowett has done in transforming them on the pitch you still get the feeling all isn't quite right behind the scenes at Blues. The way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy ended up at QPR, Rowett went to Fulham and Chris Powell landed the Blues job. Managerial merrygoround at it's finest ?

Leaving us in the sh!* again! Oh well...that's how it goes I suppose and probably the realistic answer? Whatever JFH chooses it's been a great ride...just rather not see it cut so short.
