Exactly what Norah said. As soon as that final whistle went you just knew. I have to admit I also forgot about Sheffield United and had the same conversation last night about us not winning shootouts! I have been forgetting about Sheffield United for 48 years

No running commentary on the BBC Sport site for this game. Ash is using a different "blog" system from what he has used in the past. It sucks ! Score at about 75 mins in is 0-0 Texas, We had to switch unfortunately as CoverItLive is no longer running (basically, shut down) and this is our only alternative at present - at least it allows us to actually run a live blog! I saw your post a few down as well, were there any issues with it at all? Updates not coming through or anything like that? Ash

The first penalty shoot out that I saw us take part in was at Eaton Park when we played a sort of Charity shield affair against Accrington. Needless to say we lost it and what was the worst thing was that the Accrington wags were directly in front of us and loudly cackled when they won. I found it very hard to take.....
Rereading my post from last night I think I was a little harsh on Duffy, certainly to me he didn't play too well along side Palmer. Because it just seemed that it was going to be that sort of night it was actually a relaxed night compared to any league match and so instead of watching it like a scared rabbit looking into the headlights of a car it gave me chance just to sit back and admire the play and to contemplate just how far we have come as a team in the last few years ( a fellow Brewer actually had watched the Cheltenham Wrexham match recently and had said how bad the match was in terms of the standard of football).. Much of the football was a delight to watch.. Rather like Arsenal , the end product wasn't there but it was still a delight to watch. And let's face it after Saturday we would rather use the bad luck up and start afresh ready for Coventry.
P.s. Love the picture in the Burton Mail on the back page...looks very suspect..no wonder we didn't score...looks like we were playing a rugby team..
