Anyway just be grateful we are lending you our surplus players. We've got a few more that would improve you IMO. What other positions do you need our help with? Taft is a decent start and I think you will like him Oh dear.... Taft, as much as you may or may not rate him, is a very low profile signing for us this summer.... 2 of which chose the Us over Burton... Anyway.... I did come here to check out the thoughts of some Burton fans on taft but i can see you are mostly deluded fools from some strange backwater. See ya

Typical Cambridge fan, we are so tinpot that we pipped them to the Conference title and won the league 2 championship on their ground after coming back to win with 10 men ! Over history yes they have been the bigger club but times they are a changing.

I think a loan will do George well in the long term, I just hope that he gets some game time whilst he is at Cambridge, I personally think that he has the potential to be a very good player but not being a regular first team player with us can leave a player in limbo, regular football will give him more confidence and more hunger and hopefully he will return to us later in the season and be a improved player. Cambridge have got themselves a good player but must use him. Good luck George.

I think that Cambridge have a very good player in young Mr Taft. The experience will do him no harm at all.
Earlier in the thread I didn't expect such a big bite so quickly. I remember playing Cambridge in the Conference and I was always struck by the arrogance of the fans and their reference to traditional non-league teams as being "tinpot". It was a Cambridge fan who coined the phrase on the old Conf Guide forum. When used ironically back at them, we catch a great big old rusty pot as soon as we dip the hook in the water. I'm proud of our non-league roots and being little old Burton. It is our humility as a club which has contributed to our success. The billy big censored work types could learn from that approach.

George made his mark yesterday, scoring with a deflected effort for tinpot Cambridge in a 4-4 draw at tinpot Carlisle.
