Weldone to the lads yesterday. Not at their best but still getting the points. Naylor was man of the match for us. The idiots still stand behind us, leaning on the bar, giving the team grief at the slightest mistake they make. Thankfully the woman wasn't there. I think without being too greedy 4 points from the next 2 games will put us in great shape.

Keggy. Make a sign on a piece of card with "Do you know what the word 'SUPPORT' means?"
Then again, the idiots probably can't read.
The usual line thrown out here is "I pay my money, I'm entitled to my opinion".
Wrong. The two parts of that statement don't go together. You are entitled to your opinion, even if it's vacuous, offensive, discriminatory and false. The fact you pay to get in means nothing. You pay to get into a cinema, but if you upset other viewers by loudly slagging off the film then it is right that you be told to shut up or leave.
Here's a way in which you can to see the match and loudly slag off the home team. Stand or sit in the away end.

A hard0working solid performance against an Accy side that actually tried to to play some football for a change. At this stage its the points that count and we had the top quality finishing when it was required. All successful teams need to dig in and win ugly and we've done that a few times. The ref seemed wistle happy and tried his best to ruin the game IMO. Naylor had a decent game as anchor man in front of the back 4, he's more defensive minded than Lenny was, but Beavon or the Moose would have been my MOM, although Gurks had a decent game it was his name that was pulled out of the hat for sponsors MOM. Apart from when Mac went charging out awol and they failed to capitalise Accy didn't have much of an end product for all their pressure, we defended well and I heard someone say that the Brewers have only conceded 9 at home, if that's true you can see why. It would be great to put one over that arragant so an so Phil Brown on Wednesday but I'd settle for maintaining that 8 point gap with the games running down.

I thought that the game quality was rather spoiled by too many small niggley fouls by both teams, plus an over fussy ref. Many of the small infringements could have been allowed to play on in my opinion. The quality of both of the second half goals though were worth the admission price. I thought Naylor, Beavon, and the back four were outstanding. McGurk also played well, but not MoM for me.

I couldn't make it but my son went in with all the young kids.
They had a great time.
Believe it or not an Accrington fan complained to a steward that the kids were inciting trouble in there when they started chanting "who are you, who are you" at the few Accrington fans who were there.
The steward had to ask a parent to calm it all down!
Lol
Some parents I know reckon that although there was a lot of long ball when we played it on the ground we did some decent stuff.

For those of you not on Facebook, I posted a picture on there long after the game had finished with the whole team back out onto the pitch post game to pose for pictures with the kids behind the goal. They spent ages there posing for 'selfless' and group shots. They finally went back into the dressing room at 5.15pm. A brilliant gesture that the team and whole club should be proud of, particularly the Community Trust who do a fantastic job.

Yes I had heard that all the players came back out at the end to see the kids.
I heard JFH waved at them twice as well when they sang at him!

If we could get two home games in succession that allowed the club to give the 'away' end to the kids for nothing, that may well get 'em addicted.
These young'uns need getting on board, before their heads get turned to the club down the road.

From memory I think a club can only do 3 local promotions per season, I.e. Where they do kids for a quid or let the youngsters in cheap as with Saturday. The rest of the time you have to offer away fans similar price entry to home fans (and rightly so). But the event on a Saturday was very well done and I hope the kids really enjoyed themselves and beg their parents to bring them back again soon.
