With all their deadline day signings I had a bad feeling about this one...how wrong I was!
Fantastic result and a bit of a cushion now. Time to kick on and get the job done.....
Great to see three goalscoreres too.

Great to see three goalscoreres too. I may be wrong but it looked to me like Buckle went for quantity, not quality. Who knows...it may work out for them but he clearly doesn't live by the rule that our gaffers always have - "I don't want any player...I want the RIGHT player" I'm sure that we could have probably had a striker or strikers come in before the deadline but it's pointless if they don't fit to how you want to play. By the way, I don't know if anyone remembers "russpennchoseus" from about 3 years ago on CTMD? Took great pleasure in telling us Cheltenham were going to send us back to non league whilst they enjoyed league one. Wonder what he's up to tonight?

Good performance today (on the whole) , bit scrappy to start with and dodgy 10 - 15 minutes in the second half . Adam Mc Gurk had an excellent game along with Phil Edwards and Stuart Beavon .
Shame about Jacob Blythe , it didn't look good . I would think he could well be missing for 6 weeks at least .

Interesting point made that as Blyth is a loan player we could bring a loan in to replace him if he is out for a while and still only have 5 in the match day squad. In that respect it is better than one of the non loan players getting injured

Yep, I remember him Spence, he took great delight in telling us all how Burton Albion were the smallest team in the football league and how miles we were behind Cheltenham. And it wasn't long after we were treated to his pearls of wisdom that russpennchoseyork instead.

Not long in from visiting my Dad in the QE. I had a good friend keeping me updated throughout the match. Very pleased with the result and it sounds like we played well on what has become a very poor pitch due to ground sharing with Gloucester. Delighted to see Beavon and McGurk on the scoresheet and three points to take us top of the league. Good point that funky about Blyth being a loan player, feel for the lad but if its as bad as feared I would expect us to bring in a replacement. COME ON YOU BREW---ERS.
PS Cheltenham fans are totally fed up with Paul Buckle already and also disgruntled with Mr Baker the chairman. Makes you realise how lucky we are !

When Jacob was being carried off The commentators were talking about the loan situation and said something like "because Jacob is on loan Jimmy may not want to bring in another player on loan", but they didn't go on to explain why?? Anyway, here is a picture of their pitch today, nothing like The Pirelli!

What a shame for Blyth, that will probably be two or three games out? well we don't know exactly what the injury is but they made it sound pretty bad and said he looked in a lot of pain. They said 'this isn't just a strain, it's gone'! Could be a long one but we'll have to wait and see. Well at least Blyth is sounding a bit optimistic... Their Chairman has denied it to the BBC journo in that area so he's still in charge apparently. Inevitable that he's on his way though. Position almost untenable I think.
