A bit surprised at this to be honest. I know he can at times be a prat with some of his behaviour, but I still rate him as a good manager. I also understand he is good company socially. I don't know how much money he has to budget with, but maybe they think he has had enough for the team to be doing better, but he has just won two on the trot, including Birmingham away. As has already been said I am sure he'll turn up again to cause us grief.

Ah no, Graham Westley is there, I think he probably wanted to go and was annoyed that he couldn't. Over achieved at Rotherham really, I have always disliked him from afar, but as with Jon Coleman at Accy, does a very good job.

Call me a cynic .. Where have I said this before... But if he was sacked after winning the last two games then there is something more behind this... I wonder if he has got something lined up already... What about Chesterfield.....? Dean Saunders never lasts anywhere for long.... But Everard .... Cloughie.... NOOOO!

Alexander has just been sacked by Fleetwood. Another one bites the dust. Seems like clubs aren't waiting long to get rid of their managers this season. Whatever happened to giving them time?

(have edited the posts above because I just saw that I put Chestergield instead of Chesterfield..)

Chalk up another managerial casualty. Terry Butcher has just been given the push at Newport.

Just reading up in the The Star a few of Evans top quips/quotes, here's one I thought amusing
"The referee was totally, obnoxious rude and embarrassing to me and my staff throughout the match and at half-time.” Evan's thoughts on referee Eddie Ilderton following an away defeat at Burton.

Bloody hell. Couldn't they have waited until after they'd played us?

Barely two months into the season and the amount of managers getting the bullet is ridiculous.
Jimmy won't go to Leeds. I know a lot of people think he will but I'm certain he won't. Left on bad terms as a player, unstable club behind the scenes, won't get anywhere near as much time as he has had here.
I find it incredible that Steve Evans has been lined up to take over. He might be a fantastic manager in the lower leagues with an open cheque book at his disposal but Leeds is a different proposition altogether.

For once in his career and for entirely selfish reasons I hope fat boy is mildly successful ! You really have to feel for Leeds fans.
