Mark Robins becomes the first manager sacked in the new season. Is this a record? Just one game played.

I don't know whether it is a record claymillman but it is astonishing and disgraceful. The Chairman/board should be ashamed. Thank goodness for the Chairman/board we have.

Would you Adam and Eve it ? So glad we have a sensible chairman who is Burton born and bred and understands the town the club and its supporters. Adding to that that he has a real love and passion for our club too and doesn't make knee jerk reactions to situations.

Some Bury fans are concerned that Bolton will come knocking for Flitcroft, that would possibly destabilise them if they/he did. I would imagine that Phil Gartside would be looking for someone with a little higher profile though.

Higher profile and with a proven track record as well. Flitcroft hasn't exactly acheived anything in his relatively short managerial career. Granted he kept Barnsley up by the skin of their teeth but he got sacked himself 3 months into the following season. I don't think Bolton are exactly a stable club at the minute either.

What the heck happened here? Strange timing.... Tranmere Rovers have parted company with manager Micky Adams by mutual consent following Saturday's home defeat by Oxford United. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32372688

I hope we get them first game of the season, I reckon they will still be in chaos!

It is so easy to crow about this but the wee man will turn up soon somewhere else to haunt us no doubt...

I wonder if NC fancies trying his luck in New York...? (It's near enough to home)
