They were superb today Texas. Oxford are good side . Zola's first goal was worth the entrance fee alone . I though Tommo (Tomlinson) made a big difference today as Oxford came out all guns blazing for the second half and if two of his saves had been goals it would have changed the game . Thouroughly agree with MOM . Maghoma defended and attacked really well , fully deserved the title , but it could easily have been Zola's too . Excellent team effort, bring on York .. Proud today to be a brewer Thought this was spot on for an immediate after-match view porky - not a lot more needing to be said.....

There are two football clubs in this league that I have a particular dislike for and we absolutely embarrassed one of them yesterday. A few quotes on their board along the lines of "can't believe we lost to a team like Burton bloody Albion" etc...which is why I enjoyed every sodding minute of us beating them 4-0 ;D
Agree with Jonesy about O'Connor. In terms of all round play I though he was our best player yesterday. The fact that he was probably third in line for man of the match was testament to how our day went. Zola was my man of the match for two finishes that wouldn't have looked out of place a few levels above ours.
I think Tomlinson and Paterson are both a major reason why we've kept back to back clean sheets. Tomlinson for obvious reasons but the old cliche "defend from the front" definintely applies to Matt. He strikes me as a very clever footballer, works incredibly hard and isn't afraid to put his foot in. Nemanja Vidic knows all about that (google it).
Absolutely thrilled with the result. Let's follow it up with another positive result on Wednesday night.

Having been on the Oxford forum, it gives special delight, when as Dave78 says, they are so disrespectful of our team. I know they are annoyed to lose 3 on the trot, but surely they should be able to criticise their own performance, without attempting to belittle us. So yes it makes our win even more enjoyable. I will be hoping their poor run continues now. Their fans deserve it.

Our 2 seasons of struggle might get some teams/fans dropping their guard against us again. Like when it was our first season in the Football League.
It is always great when we win a match against a bigger club, only to know their fans are bemoaning the fact they "can't even beat little Burton Albion". Ain't it cute ;D.

I think some of them think they should playing Man Utd and Chelsea as they were 30 years ago.

It seems to be the thing to do to belittle "little" Burton Albion. Forget the fact we are here on merit just like them, we're just too non-league for many. Long may that continue.
I always fing it strange people can comment on how good or bad teams are that they see probably once a season, twice maximum. Who knows whether they are having a 'good' or 'bad' day? Some will be commenting of course having never seen the game!
Having seen all the games apart from Exeter so far, I thought Oxford were the best team we've seen this season so far (for 60 minutes at least).

My first ever post so please be gentle with me! Have managed the games against Rochdale - outstanding performance and what a goal! and the Oxford game on Saturday. Both games were hard fought. Both Rochdale and Oxford have big physical players, we not so much. They play with muscle and brawn we play with feet and brains! I have witnessed at least three of the best goals I have ever seen in Paterson, Zola and Mags - simply outstanding. Against Oxford for the first 20 minutes thought we were a little slow out the blocks. I have to say that Rowett seems to have put together a squad that is battling. Defensively we were outstanding, Zander Diamond won everything in the air and O'Connor was simply brilliant, his reading of the game is exceptional. Zola and Mags had a game that they will never forget, nor will we! Got to say I was disappointed to see Billy on the bench when the teams were read out, however, Paterson is an outstanding prospect, and with goals like the one he scored against Rochdale and his never say die attitude he showed against Oxford I think he will become a firm favourite. As will Tomlinson, who for me looks like a rock at the back! Loved it, loved the atmosphere, loved the football we tried and did play. Same starting 11 on Wednesday for me and lets see if we can keep this run going

Not much to add to any of the above, regarding great goals ,Mags and Zolas performance.
I did actually think that O'Connors performance did put him in the running for MOM. He is definately a star in the making.
Tommo is definately a unit, thats two games in a row I have seen him pole axe players whilst coming for the ball. He managed to take out four men at the Rochdale game. He definately seems to give our defence so much more confidence, and I'm sure they now realise that when they hear "keepers" to move out of the way !!
