We were very solid at the back today. Looked a real good unit, diamond again was superb, didn't miss a beat and it was refreshing to see a commanding GK behind the back four. A lovely goal scored by Patterson also. Encouraging performance.

Three points away from home and a clean sheet. Not many better ways to a end a Saturday afternoon.

ooh Norah, you are naughty!
Lee Bell was absolutely immaculate today. Him and Zander must have blocked a dozen shots between them. We weren't blocking shots last season.

Just what I thought- their blocking was reminiscent of Stridey's style and commitment! Defending which was a joy to watch... once we knew the ball was clear that is!

Is it me or has this site gone remarkably quiet following yesterday's game. It could be that the whingers have nothing to complain about I suppose ;D

Plenty of folk around where i was standing moaning about maghoma god only knows why. Superb performance by the whole team. Difficult to chose MOTM but I'll go for Zander. Fantastic goal from Paterson. Hope Chris Palmer's injury isn't as serious as it looked. Carried from pitch.

I'm sure the usual suspects are disappointed we won. Absolutely monumental effort yesterday from everyone. Stand outs for me were Diamond, Holness and Paterson. Jack Dyer did extremely well when he came on as well. That's two starts now for Paterson and two games where he's shown that he's a very good player. I'll be interested to see what happpens on Saturday when Billy is available again. I'm with dm on man of the match. Zander Diamond could be one of the signings of the season.

Agree with the sentiments about the game, solid performance all round, looking a lot better at the back with Tommo between the sticks, very encouraging signs me thinks, only down side was that there were still the usual few moaners at the game (I honestly cannot figure out why they bother going) shouting crap at the players, we were at a team who were a league above us last year, and we were keeping a clean sheet, and looking composed, but the moaners who obviously know sod all about football wanted us to throw 11 players up top and go for a cricket score, not quite sure if they know or care that by getting on our players back they are assisting the opposition, apart from that, top day out
