Is anyone else worried that we haven't started any better than we finished last season?
Scoring goals was never the problem but conceding them always has been. So far we are conceding an average of two goals a game...
A new back four still conceding from set pieces just like the old? And everyone in the box for set pieces again?
Backing off out of the midfield and giving it up in the second half?
Big boot football when you can see playing it forward gives us better results?
Let's look at the record - 4 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw in the league. 22 goals scored 24 conceded in 12 league games in charge.
And Albion still can’t play two good halves of football together let alone two games.
All of these problems are two or three seasons old. All of these problems cost Peschisolido his job.
And Rowett was part of the regime who lead us to the verge of relegation twice.
So I ask you - have we got the wrong man for the job? And if you think he's the right man for the job where's the proof?

It's a bit early to be panicking, surely? I hope the people at work didn't say the same about me two weeks into my current job...

Two weeks? Twelve league games. And two and a bit seasons before that as assistant manager. Are you seriously trying to say that he had nothing to do with the decisions and mistakes of the previous management?
If my department/company did so badly they certainly wouldn't promote me to replace my boss when they fired him.

Agree with the concern regarding everyone back for corners etc. Every other team seems to at least have one player left up front in fact at times Fleetwood had two. I always think that this gives you an outlet when the ball is cleared. The way we play if the ball is cleared you remain under pressure.

It's not new unfortunately. There still seems to be a fear factor there. And I can hear Rowett telling them all to get back. So it seems they are being trained to do it.

rowett probably took this advice from peschisolido..........1 of the worst managers to learn from I think that they were of a like mind unfortunately - hence my concerns. Do we really want more of the same? Wasn't a fan of Rowett's appointment...do you think that was the reason why the cut off for the early bird season ticket prices was earlier than last year - and before they announced his appointment? Because I would have been tempted to leave it a season and go watch the ice hockey again!

Put things this way, I certainly don't believe he's got long to get things into shape before a lot of fans will be on his case, he certainly wont get the comfort Peschisolido did, as he is part of his 'era' in charge that showcased some of the worst, passionless football seen in decades. There are still an awful lot who don't believe he should have been handed the reigns, myself included, I just believe it was utter lazyness from Robinson. Good luck to the chap, he's going to need it.

I do believe this is what the press call the silly season. I have seen more than enough during the first three league matches to be convinced that we have an enjoyable season ahead and have recruited wisely. The season has only just begun. It did not commence in March to my knowledge. UTB

Putting things into perspective if I may You can't really judge Rowett on last season, they were players he inherited, players whose confidence was shot to bits, and to be fare he did well to keep us up, although I was more than a little pi**ed off watching Bristol put 7 past us etc. This season we have played 4 competitive games, in one of them we went and knocked Sheff Utd out of the cup at Bramall lane, in another we scored 6 goals and looked awesome, in the other 2 we played the 2 favorite teams to go up, think about it!!!

...in another we scored 6 goals and looked awesome And still conspired to concede two really bad goals same as we did last season. That should have been a clean sheet. One, OK maybe, but two? I agree in the first half we looked great. But as I said, still can't string two halves of football together. The second half we were back to our old habits. Long ball. Backing off. Conceding from set pieces. Wimbledon are also a side who Bradford were 5 - 1 up on by half time. Shooting fish in a barrel comes to mind. Look, more than anything I want to be wrong about this. But Rowett was part of the problem under Pesch and in my opinion he continues to be so.

I do feel that you are being overly harsh. Sense of perspective required.
If the Wimbledon game was way below the standard you expect then perhaps you need to be watching football at a higher level that League 2?

I can't judge him just yet. I won't panick until I feel the need to, we've just had an average start, nothing to worry about in my opinion.
I'm quite confused as to why fans are questioning the management only 3 games into the season, give him a chance!

It's premature to criticise this back four, it's only a few weeks old . The same goes for the squad . I wasn't in favour of Rowett being appointed either but I like the changes he's made and I like what I've seen on the pitch so far too . I'll give it 'tll the end of October, if we're well down the table by then , I'll start worrying.

Way way to early to be having this conversation. We are doing alright so far over ALL the games this season.
I think this back four as it stands is far superior to last season.
