I've seen a lot of games this season where we deserved to win and have lost. Tonight I felt we deserved to lose and won. We did defend well but after our goal the pressure was all one way. 10 day break may be just what we need for a tired looking squad. Great to make the play off positions though.

Agreed looked very tired, Sbarra and Broadhead played far too deep. Not sure Sbarra is the answer tbh missed sarkic

Still trying to work out how we managed to win that one, thought we started well in the first 15 minutes or so but after that we seemed to be far too deep, lots of credit to MK Dons for coming and playing good football like that but my word I hope we don’t have to watch a game like that again this season.
Huge win though and puts us into a playoff position which is great, Accrington and AFC Wimbledon to come after a decent sized break so hopefully we can keep the run going.

Not sure Sbarra is the answer tbh missed sarkic The whole team was too deep but that’s simply because of the pressing MK Dons did, I thought Broadhead was good for 30 minutes or so but seemed to struggle towards the end of the half but I was massively surprised to see him starting considering he’s been out for a while. Sbarra was probably better than most but I’ve always said away games seem to suit him more than home ones.

Just shows what a fickle business being a football fan is really... people up in arms earlier in the season when the football was great but the results not so... now we pick up a couple of at times very ugly 1-0s and all is fine! I thought it was a reality check last night, it was about as toothless a half as I can recall second half. That’s fine as sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do... and to be fair I hadn’t picked up on the second signing until I got home which is positive... but my thought leaving the ground was that if people are on here all positive and buoyant about where we can go from here, they probably haven’t been at the games. Not a moan at all but the odds are stacked against us given the squad strength of every other team in the play-off positions and many of those below.

Yes you are fickle - 2 minutes after saying that last night you were planning our day out at Wembley for the playoff final 😀 Poorest performance from us for a long time last night. Fitness was clearly an issue, the weekend off has come at the right time.

Unfortunately the teams beneath us game in hand situation is stopping me making Wembley plans. We've got the 2nd half of the season off to the right start though, so fingers crossed we march on and see where we end up!

Unbelievable defensive effort tonight against a really good MK side who played us off the park more than any team has since we have been back in League One. To put it in perspective they had 73% possession tonight which is only 1% less than Man City had in the 9-0 game! Clearly didn't have anybody with the finishing ability they did but there were some real nervy moments tonight and whilst we defended heroically they still seemed to work it round us too many times for comfort. Table looks good tonight and we are there on merit for definite and I hope this has a positive effect on the January transfer dealings both in and out. Great three points and well done all round!! A good summary. The Man City game crossed my mind mid 2nd half. MK Dons looked a really good side, fitter, faster, moved the ball round confidently, they deserved a lot more maybe BUT we defended superbly and many tired legs battled on for the cause. 10 days now to get injured players fit and clear the air as to what the squad will be as we move forward in the season.

I thought that was one of the best wins of the season. You could see we were absolutely knackered but we kept fighting until the end and sometimes you have to grind out results like that. MK looked a good side but we defended from the front and each and every player last night we’re heroes in my book. 10 days break couldn’t have come at a better time. Hold on to your hats folks things are starting to heat up.

We were warned that M_K Dons had improved considerably and they were a yrd faster more physical, and had some very technical gifted players, and coming away with a draw we could have lived with, Taking all 3 points was massive We rode our luck at times but fought for every ball and gave a team performance. Bristol Rovers -M_K Dons 6 points when under the cosh is the backbone of a good team. Burton Albion as a squad shown how much of a unit they are, the celebrations relief and togetherness from everyone shown how much the result meant to everyone. Thats two games now were tension in the ground watching two teams living on a knife edge giving one hundred per-cent,and the sheer joy of being the victors just elates you, and even if only for 3 days seeing the Brewers in the top 6 satisfying. Shaughnessy=Powell coming in, and no one leaving will do nicely

Sometimes a 1-0 backs to the wall win makes you just as proud as the games where you smash teams all over the park.
We needed every ounce of everything to win that and we got it.
When you see the kind of lads we've got literally unable to run another yard, you know they've put it all on the line.
Such a big win. MK Dons can count themselves very unfortunate indeed and they played some lovely controlled stuff. Hopefully now they've got those mojo back they'll best other teams in and around us. It was always surprising to see them down there. I've no doubt they'll finish above Shrewsbury.
The Oxford v Ipswich game was another great result for us. Brigs it all together tightly.
If we can win 3 of our next 5 we'll cement out place top 6.
It's not very often teams pick up 15 points from eighteen. We're good enough to do that again and it will be another run like that sees us move into clear contention.
The break is brilliant for us. These lads with their confidence levels and a couple of days energy back in the tanks sets us up very nicely indeed.
The Accy game is huge.
