I always wonder why Lucas has stayed with us, he could play at an higher level me thinks. Loyalty, contented and doesn't have high ambitions or just doesn't want to move clubs?? Whatever it is they all have a different outlook on life and the game I guess.

Whatever it is they all have a different outlook on life and the game I guess. I think with Lucas, he has been on a fantastic journey with the club, from League 2 to Championship. Every manager he has played for here has appreciated his honest endeavour, hard work and dedication and he knows how revered he is by the supporters here although he is a truly selfless guy who doesn’t seem to be in it for the plaudits he gets. I don’t think there is a lack of ambition there at all but he values somewhere that looks after him well and value him as a person. I posted a link recently from a former player about how Nigel looks after the person not just the player. Don’t underestimate how much that means to players.

My priority for the transfer window would be right back. John B will be first choice but we have limited cover and we know he is unlikely to play every game. I also think Clough will be looking to strengthen the midfield too. After Scotty and Edwards we don't have many natural central players who can play that midfield role.

Strange how transfer windows come and go and one, if not the best players in league 1 Akins ,we all take it he is a Brewer but he is the opponent fans rate. I always remember a Forest fan saying Burton played their centre forward at left back.and he had Cash one of their best players in is pocket. Lucas i cannot believe you are not NO 1 on a lot of peoples shopping list.Player of the year==Player of the Decade. one player Burton Albion could not replace.I hope you are the best paid player at the club==you deserve it

happens all the time after games, from opposition fans and reporters alike: "I wish we had one like him."

Signed for Mansfield on season long loan. He went off injured with a hamstring strain for them on 14th December. Maybe the injury allowed for the loan to be ended early somehow? Been playing centre back for Mansfield. Used to be a central midfielder.

No that's not me NobodyGood, I'm a different Jack :]

I do find it interesting we’re using a loan spot on a player like him, providing he signs and providing we keep all of our current loanees we’d only have room for one more in the match day squad I believe? Of course we do need a player like him but I expected us to take the Wallace route for one of them and save our loans for attacking players but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

There is also Jevan Anderson, Centre Back who was signed in the summer on a one-year deal and not really featured.

There is also Jevan Anderson, Centre Back who was signed in the summer on a one-year deal and not really featured. He's played 2 cup games and a league game which I believe he came on as a sub for all 3 (played LB for one of those appearances). I didn't think he looked quite up to scratch just yet in those particular games but we must remember he is only 19 has plenty of time ahead of him to improve, a loan move to a team a league or 2 below would probably do him good but as always we don't have the squad depth other teams have, also with him only signing on a one year deal this is highly unlikely unless Clough has plans for Jevan.

A player struggling at Mansfield does not give me confidence as a answer to our shipping in goals problems. Sorry, more class needed

A player struggling at Mansfield does not give me confidence as a answer to our shipping in goals problems. Sorry, more class needed Trevor. You are always banging on until the cows come home about our limiting finances etc then you go moaning that a potential loan signing does not have enough class? Are you going to provide the additional finances to fund this ‘class’ you are seeking for us?

Britty- you would be surprised how much we actually agree on. I probably just don’t comment when we do!
By the way. Guess who was sat in the dugout before the match yesterday...........!!!

He's not signing for Northampton is he..... We need him back in the team, no coincidence we are shipping lots of goals when he hasn't been in the team.
