Are we offering reduced admission? I am sure they will bring a thousand easy, but if we do not put an offer out, the gate will be 2800 estimated with 1,000 away fans. We need it a tenner to get in, or go to the Northampton game and get a voucher to get in half price for the next fixture. We have to try something. Today was so much better in terms of atmosphere as there was 3100 home fans.

Tickets are £10 - confirmed a few weeks ago Thanks. That should entice more in.. Esp after 2 home wins also. Perhaps up to 4,000 which would be great for a decent cup atmosphere. Prize money is decent too If we can get through.

I can see The Cobblers filling the away end. Not too far a journey either.

Nice to see Northampton have sold more tickets than Burton for this match, and yet again the Chairman begs for support from the Burton public. Explaining tis only £10 a ticket and the club have only made it to the 4th round once before in their history. Very understanding our Chairman==me i would say screw you, you reap what you sew. hope the loyal Nothhampton fans enjoy the Beach Hotel. Not forgetting our loyal fans and the S_S_C

Well if I was going (I am and have tickets bought for me) I'd be waiting for an annoucement about paying on the day in cash, which it now has been.
Don't panic captain Benjamin they'll be there, just hanging on a bit, it has been a little busy for most folk. I only just found out it's Tuesday today.

I believe their stadium holds more than ours - built in part at least by ex Chairmen Anthony and David Cordoza who are facing bankruptcy and the loss of their homes I understand, as the local Northampton Council tries, through the courts, to recover its missing £10.25m loan they made to the Cordozas/Cobblers. I'm sure their council tax payers are over the moon!
They probably get bigger home gates I can't be bothered to look... They have a bigger catchment.... I'm sure they've been a league club much much longer than BAFC.
Their fans will think they should be in League 1 and us in League 2 no doubt... But the only thing that matters is for us to turn up, play em off the park with some slick football and hopefully win the tie, say thank you for the prize money and move on to round four....
All their talk including their smack talk (whatever it is) can then be dismissed as 'cobblers'....

Ten quid in. Won 3 from 4. Chance to get to the 4th round and bag 150 grand. Sunday at 2pm so most people have had their morning kids football or swimming. It should be 5000 crowd given they are bringing 1500, the reality is we will have 3500 total at max which is terrible.
I am really looking forward to this as its Cup football and could be an entertaining game as both teams are in form. I hope we get some walk ups and people decide last minute to go. The lads deserve 3000 home fans at least to urge them on to hopefully a plum 4th round draw.

F=A cup day once more and we are still in it,i can feel the excitement around the area, i think most are thinking of the summer Holiday. Here we are at home against League 2 Northampton Town currently sitting in 7th, and the away following about 1-400, what a way to spend Sun Afternoon chasing a cup shock in Stafford-shire. They play their home games at Sixfields Stadium capacity 7-652 and have a average of yes wait for it 5-081 ,so they expect to take the place by storm. Managed by Keith Curle every ball won will be a trophy and running the extra mile will be cheered in the away stand. looking at the players no million pound touch of class, just team work and glory in reaching the 4th round. In Burton we have the know how of what to expect,we have a defence that leaks goals ,and a attack that can score, but can misfire often, but we can be sure they will give 100% effort. A real back to the wall game Northampton being the underdogs away from home cant lose. The good news is any Derby or local club fan, can just cruise down if they feel like it and pay on the gate.this would be appreciated because we need the cash for our January transfer budget. Good luck Nigel and the boys. Would like to say we can concentrate on the league if we lose, but alas it takes money to do that.

I'm praying I don't jinx it by going.
I'm daft like that. If we lose its my fault. We've won every cup game I haven't gone to this season.
4-0 Boyce X 2. Lucas and Edwards.
JJ back alongside Battery perhaps with Bucko dropping to the bench.
I'm hoping Nigel has managed our key players well enough over Christmas so they're all ready for this one.
Massive game. Just massive.

Come Tuesday morning 21 teams above us will be out or needing a replay.
I know I'm getting ahead of myself but this is a brilliant opportunity for us.
Win this, draw a minnow at home (!!) THEN get a big club round 5. Away and on the telly to Spurs ideally.

Sounds like you are going broomo and getting excited, could this be another Wembley cup semi final for a league 1 team, i must say on these journeys their are many heart stopping moments. Dont worry about bad luck ,i have worn lucky hats=scarves=coats=jumpers to name a few and have proved beyond doubt it is only superstition No blame on you if we lose= Players=Manager=Ref=Luck= Atmosphere=linesman=wrong hat, So much can go wrong. But satisfaction we have played our part
