Next Boundary Park capacity 13-559 a club on par with Burton average attendance 3-390 currently playing in league 2 managed by tunisian Dino Maamrim , Thomas Ebert x Burton on their books Over 1 game not much difference between league 1 and 2 as shown by Mansfield, Joe Royal got them promotion in 1990/91 to the top flight in English football and they were founder members of the Premiership. From there it was down hill and they were relegated to league 2 in 2018. This being a cup game form goes out the window , Scunthorpe and Mansfield lessons for us. This game will be frantic and physical and no quarter given, We must compete and hope in the latter stages quality in our ranks allow us to progress. Cups are the life blood of the brewers, and our work rate will be severely tested, and we shall need lady luck also

good news about the tickets :-)
unfortunately i'm in exile from B-O-T and moved up north some years ago so the coach from the Beech wouldn't help me tomorrow, but the good news is Oldham is only 45 mins from home so I'll be in their ticket office at 2pm ish buying myself and friends some tickets

Latics supporter here on missionary work in Burton for 44 years.
The weather forecast for Oldham is -5°C overnight and 3°C during the day tomorrow. Boundary Park is notorious for games being postponed, because the edge of the pitch along the Main Stand touchline is in shade. I am told the pitch has now been covered, but would advise keeping an eye open and ear cocked to check for any news of a pitch inspection. It's not called 'Ice Station Zebra' for nothing and, if the game is on, make sure you are well wrapped up.

Oldham Facebook page says the ground is soft underneath the frost covers that were on so looks good for match going ahead

Ice station zebra, I like the name.
Take care out there today, blooming cold and the mist has just come down here again in South Derbyshire as I type.
Was going to venture out today, not football related but staying firmly indoors.
Have a good day to all those hardy footy folk.

Grand effort all who made the trip today.
We are in the 3rd round, £54k in the bank. That is good.
Couldn't find it on the tinterweb, despite Radio Derby saying it was.
Had a 1116am radio in the bath, earphones kept getting moist.
Good job battery operated.

Job done - lovely to be in the draw for the 3rd round. Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea or West Ham at home please. We might be pulling a few more fans in soon too, the Cocu Out brigade are out in force on the Rams forum. I loved the comment that he ‘Makes Rowett look like Alf Ramsay’!

Don’t know what the official attendance was but seemed to be a decent number of us lot, maybe 500?

Probably around 500 made the trip. Oldham a tidy ground, mix of old and new. Love the traditional floodlights. I though after a misfiring start we scored (great move down the left, Temps and Daniel linking well with the latters good cross finding Boyce) and then controlled the game first half. Oldham came into it a bit more second period without really testing us and we should maybe have added to the scoreline, Edward's putting a great chance wide and then O'Hara was perhaps lucky to stay on the field after handling outside the box but only got a yellow. I heard alot of Oldham fans moaning about that walking away from the ground, oh well! We got another good 70 mins from Temps and Fraser looked good when he came on. Job done on a freezer day up north.

Agree but I also wonder if we'd have more chance of being on TV if we drew a biggie at the Pirelli. Then might it not be lovely if we pulled a minnow out at home, we've* not been in the 4th round of the FA Cup since 2011. and *we (me) was unfortunately elsewhere for that magic little run.

Job done on a freezer day up north. The Liverpool keeper was sent off today for the same offence. Clough told your sub keeper to get ready to come on, knowing that it was a red card offence. It reminded me of the incompetent ref when the Brewers played Newcastle at St James' Park. An official apology from a ref is no consolation. It may have made no difference to the result, but 10 minutes against 10 men during Latics' best attacking spell and who knows? All we ask for is match officials who know the laws of the game. Good luck in the next round.

Good luck in the next round. Unfortunately it may well be that the match official DID know the laws of the game - which say that a deliberate handball that stops a ‘promising attack’ is a yellow card offence. As an Oldham player was not in possession of the ball at the time (agree it could be argued that if he doesn’t handle it the ball may well have been picked up by the striker) it is hard for him to see it as denying a clear goal scoring opportunity and therefore show red. I will admit I was expecting a red but having read up on it I can see why he gave yellow instead.

I was expecting red too Was interesting to see the Oldham keeper turn around and say to us that he thought it would be yellow

359 from Burton according to the Burton police. Don't know how they calculate though, is it only the number they know to be on coaches? Not seen an official attendance yet. As cbh says, according to the rules the ref got it right (and he clearly spoke to his assistant too). Their striker MIGHT have been through but he still had to reach the ball and JJ and Bucko were on their way across, so he didn't exactly have an empty net. That said, like cbh, my instant reaction was "he's gone." Boycie, in his after-match interview, thought so too. Match analysis here: www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/burton/brewers-fa-cup-third-round-3596972
