It makes a complete mockery of the whole international break thing! I can't use the words I'd like to so I will say, the decisions are made by Buffoons.

No wonder I couldn't find ticket info although the game is scheduled for the 19th on my app. It would never happen to the big fish in the EFL or prem, totally inept.

Why am I not surprised, they treat our level as a joke. Would be interesting to know which club was not in agreement clearly not us or Sunderland. Hopefully should fire the lads up not that they will need it.

This is a joke, league fixtures postponed, but a major cup, [their cup ] we have to play with a weakened team, internationals are run by the F_A,so they have the rules to postpone fixtures. this must mean we can bring our players back, for the game, other wise they break their own rules. the players are contracted to us,and if the F-A want us to play, we have the right to field our strongest team, O"Hara=BOYCE+Broadhead= missing, why dont the F_A give them also a goal start.

It really doesn’t help clubs like ours and is pretty poor but a part of me thinks just get on with it.
We need to start getting games out of the way.
Garratt in goal I guess and a forward line of Temps, Sarkic and Akins with Sarkic playing the Boyce role. Midfield as per. Back 4 of Brayf, JJT,Bucko and AN Other (5 to choose from!)
It’s still a decent side?
Of course that’s assuming all are fit and therein lies the problem.

That 11, assuming all fit, should be able to beat any L2 team. Looking forward to a cup tie under the lights

I agree, we have enough quality to win this replay without these players but with injuries to key players too it leaves us short on numbers. Which begs the question, why did have to play the leasing.com micky mouse cup game short on numbers?

Not surprised at this decision at all especially when you are asking the opposition, in this case Gillingham and Salford, to give their permission to play the game when both Sunderland and ourselves are back to full strength. Imagine Fatty Evans at Gillingham agreeing to something like this. Not a chance!! Just surprised that Salford actually agreed. In my opinion the FA should have just agreed to the request. What an earth did they expect the answer to be when you consult the opposition!
So it looks like that we will have to go with the same squad from the other night that lost so poorly against Mansfield unless Nartey or Hutchinson are fit. Maybe the one positive to come out of the other night is that Nigel will hopefully realise what formations don't work and go with the obvious which is Garrett in goal, Brayford right back, Daniel left back with JJOT and Bucko as centre backs, Quinn, Fraser and Edwards as the midfield three with Templeton and Sarkic on the wings and Lucas down the middle. That's a decent strong line and should be good enough to win. Not much back up on the bench but we will have to take our chances with that.

I don't understand many of the responses on this thread.
This is the FA Cup.
Sorry, some of you disappoint me.

Reading back the comments on this thread the majority are disappointed that the FA are making us play this game during an international break meaning we are stopped from being at full strength. I think that shows that the majority want us to take this competition seriously both for the glory and excitement a run would give us plus the obvious financial benefit. Not sure what is disappointing about that.

I must have been more grumpy than normal.
But getting on with is, yes, perhaps the only thing we can do. But it is just wrong.

Have you been on real ale ian, what is your point, we have been blackballed by the F_A. And the responses on this thread do not agree with it. Must say the Banqueting suit looks value £35 and at £12 seating £10 terraces, all who wanted cheap tickets can go, [full ground then.]

It's all well and good going with what we have available for this game. Just say we get injuries playing this game then one or two return from international duties with a knock or two and are out, we won't get any favours from the FA if we can't field a decent enough side and can't make a full bench will we. They're all full of themselves with how much Raheem Sterling is feeling atm, poor lad being left out because he didn't like losing the other day and spat his dummy out. They left him out because they could do, if it was a more important match (the score proves it) he would have played no doubt.

Britty I’ll pick u up 7pm lad, just delighted to have a game to go to in this barren period... if I’m prompt we’ll have a cheeky one at the SSC... if I’m late it’s a disgraceful half time John Smith’s in the west stand bar. This season has been really weird but absence makes the heart grow fonder! COYB

Got told off for sitting on the windowsill drinking an overpriced pint of Carling in west stand bar last game!! I’m a big SSC fan it absolutely defines what good is all about, can only apologise for our lads launching beer mats at each other last Saturday home game! Think we nipped it in the bud before it caused a scene!

Must say the Banqueting suit looks value £35 and at £12 seating £10 terraces, all who wanted cheap tickets can go, [full ground then.] Assuming reasonable weather an attendance of 2200 max. , the Burton public will only turn out for established Premier League teams unfortunately. No price increase on match day may help slightly.
