Similar to last season for me - very much on top and then conceded a soft equaliser. Rinse and repeat, now 2-2

The player(s) we'll have to look out for, Ben Whiteman, a tall central midfielder who doesn't look the most mobile but everything goes through him and he's got a brilliant range of passing, including a real eye for a killer through ball. John Taylor on the right but happy to cut inside and play through the middle as well, tiny, runs all day and puts in a very decent cross. They get a lot of players forward quickly and Kieran Sadlier is a threat arriving into the box late. He's another big midfielder who is decent in the air as well. They've got a couple of massive centre halfs who throw themselves at anything but who can be clumsy. They look vulnerable down their left hand side.
We can't give Whiteman time to dictate the game, hopefully Edwards busy style and Quinn's reading of the game will cut his influence. Nigel will know all about Kwame Thomas, if he gets off the bench. I fancy us but I've been wrong a lot this season. Oh ffs, just ffs. How many times in a game will we have more shots OFF TARGET than they have altogether? A decent point away from home I guess.

Ahead. Concede. Ahead. Concede.
Hmm.
Annoying.
Take a point though, I guess.

Ahead. Concede. Ahead. Concede. Hmm. Annoying. Take a point though, I guess. Annoyingly conceded twice within minutes of going in front.
Sounded like a ding dong game second half and again we couldn't convert all those chances.
Still I can't complain sitting at home, hope those that went enjoyed the day and the point is better than nowt.

22 shots and 10 corners, one on average every 3 minutes. Doncaster two very fortunate equalisers, Templeton in good form until we lost him and then Nartey has to go off too - we never get the rub of the green do we!

We actually played Doncaster off the park today. Every time we lost the ball we won it back easily. The simple close passing was great to see as we just had so much possession. A work friend (Donny fan) messaged me saying their commentary actually said we looked a league above! Really Unlucky with their equaliser which they didn't deserve. Definitely 2 points lost especially with regards to the amount of corners 2nd half and just our overall possession. But what a team we look when we move the ball like today and for many games this season. COYB šš»

Didn't go today but have read all the reports, listened to the after match interviews, read a lot of social media comment especially on the Donnie side and I think it is safe to say that this is yet another game that we should have won but didn't. The stats suggest we dominated possession, had more attempts(22 in total but only 6 on target) and had more corners but having taken the lead twice and failed to hold it for just a few minutes where we are again the architects of our own downfall and our own worst enemy.
I think we would all have taken a point before hand but as Nigel says it's definitely two points dropped to add to a host of games already this season that should have been won. The league table still looks OK and if we win our two games in hand we will be level with sixth but just think where we could and should have been if we hadn't thrown away so many points.
Great to see Joe Sbarra get 90 minutes under his belt in a league game and see he won the penalty but wondered how well he had played overall.
Two cup games up next against league two teams which we should win with ease if we go full strength and don't do anything daft. There's no reason really to rest anybody as there is a chance the next scheduled league game could be called off giving us another enforced break due to international call ups. Then it's two tough away games before month end with some winnable looking games in December and January which could move us up the league quickly.
I'm sure and hopeful that as long as the performance levels don't drop we will start to get the wins we deserve.

Sbarra did ok Annable - was a bit surprised to see him in ahead of others but we donāt see how they train. For me Sarkic needs a rest at the moment.

Looking at individual performances I just think Sbaara doesn't take his opportunities when he gets a run out. When he first came into the squad he looked so lively and direct going at defenders. He seems to just nearly do something but doesn't just go for it checks back and plays the easy option. Still think Joe is a good player but he needs to just go for it in certain areas. Maybe needs a few more games to build his confidence.

Football has changed in recent years, players are athletes and mainly 6ft plus - the Billy Bremner's and Alan Ballās are few and far between these days. Joe needs to work harder than ever to make the grade. Last season on loan at Solihull Moors in the National League - he only forced his way into the starting 11 once plus 5 appearances from the bench. We are 2 divisions higher than that.

Joe needs games. I would send him out to a L2 club for a season and see what type of player we get when he comes back. Hopefully Joe (and others) will take the positives from what harness did from working hard, going out on loan and taking his chance when it came.

I thought Joe was good yesterday and won the penalty because he was alert and pressing them. "Small" point about small players... their most dangerous player, Jon Taylor, wasn't much bigger than Joe. It can be done. I wish David Templeton could put a string of games together. Yesterday... messed up several situations, then scored a wordly, then went off injured. Sadly, that seems to sum up his time with us so far. Anyway, for those interested, a lengthy match analysis here... www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/burton/brewers-again-dominate-cannot-hold-3496948

Well would have taken a point, Templeton, scores again, and injured again, the squad is now being tested.Blackpool=Leicester=Donny away, a big week for a small squad, Quinn=Brayford not fit enough for 3 big games in a week, Nartey being injured a big miss, and Edwards showing games catching up with him. Clough bringing O"Toole in as a central defender must work better with experienced partner, Buxton must be carrying a knock,Nartey has been brilliant, but is injured. Wallace does well but is only a make shift. So we can get caught out,at the back. Has a team we were very good yesterday, Sbarra did well was involved with both goals and worked hard, Sarkic back to playing in patches ,this is what has held is career up,he has the talent but has to apply it. Missing the target=final ball, this is what defines a good side from a bad one. After our miss firing tactics. with them coming back twice, the onus was for them to get the winner. In the last few minutes we gave some free kicks to encourage them, and O"Hara had to be on his toes. All in all we were the better team and stay in mid table for a reason. I have always stated that if Clough had money he would be dangerous. nice to read donny fans praising him for his tactics. Their team were shackled and their manager thought it was a point gained, Southend next another bannana skin then 2 away Peterborouh==Sunderland.. Top 6 looks along way off, top 10 priority

Listening to āBig Daveā on the way home on Praise or Grumble on BBC Sheff - he was grudging in his praise of us but Donny fans were more realistic that they were lucky to get a point. And they were.

To be fair, his printed quotes say "point gained" which suggests he thinks they were lucky not to lose.

Their team were shackled and their manager thought it was a point gained, Southend next another bannana skin then 2 away Peterborouh==Sunderland.. Top 6 looks along way off, top 10 priority Trev, I think we've all got to remember that for a hell of a lot of our squad this is their first experience of playing League football regularly. You'll probably remember like I do how Jeff Hendrick and even the brilliant Will Hughes had to play through dips in form while they learned their trade at Derby. We can't expect the likes of Nartey, Broadhead, Sbarra, Wallace, Hutchinson to be at 100% week in week out. Even Edwards coming down from Scotland where he wasn't playing regularly, it will take time. Interesting that Nigel pointed out yesterday that he can't keep running 13k twice a week and the workload has to be shared. We've got to let them make their mistakes and learn from them. O'Hara has definitely benefitted from last season at FGR but even he is still a kid, still learning. I've been probably over critical of Reece at fullback and then I've been really pleased to see Nigel put him straight back in after a mistake or a poor half. It's that kind of management they need right now. We've got unbelievable potential in this team, when we play well I don't think there is a team in the division who can out football us. The biggest issue right now is probably self belief. Even though I'm gutted we conceded twice yesterday, I go away and listen to the interviews and then watch the extended highlights or the full match replay and all it does is convince me we will challenge the top 6 this season, we might come up short but it won't be by much. We're a goal poacher away from being comfortably top 4.

Watching matches over the weekend. Leicester was a example with Vardy, his goal nothing clever just on target, we still love kicking them over the bar, attack over. Frustrating at the moment too many points dropped, You know it is easy to think we are a club, that can keep players,or spend on what we need, and challenge for promotion, and stay in the Championship. We are so well run, as fans watching we forget 3-000 gates, forget the system ,play who we can afford. A point at Doncaster is very good.playing away to a club over twice our size, and being unlucky not to win. 13th in league 1 games in hand admirable performance by the club. We aint a big club we are tho Burton Albion.comfortable league 1 outfit
