I like both articles and I kind of see what he is saying in the first one. But whilst the values may be similar, there us a world of difference between the non-League days and now.

A excellent article putting things in perspective for me it states that the values and infrastructure from the non league days, remain the same,of how a club should be run based on the original concept laid down in 1998. With progress made on the pitch, moving to a new Stadium was vital for the club to progress, but was made without compromising the managers budget. league football is a complete new ball game, and stakes become higher the further up the ladder you climb. League 1 was a big step up,and meant the players budget would not reflect our status. Championship 0ver 6 million quid for getting their.yes certainly a world of difference. But this leads to bigger problems,The players budget for this league very minimal,The ground out of date for this league, and our fan base far to small. Here lies the problem, finances become key, when competing with massive clubs, with huge financial resources. Nigel states we are a very young club in league football and moving onto a fan base of 3000.it is where we are. Top clubs visiting the Pirelli,4-700 thats our big gate. with a few away fans infiltrating the home end. seems a shame so many players in the football league, are ones we could not keep hold of,because of financial reasons. But nice to hear that the club recognise that the fan base could not be expected to keep up with events on the field. A lot harder i feel for certain fans to recognise punching above your weight is league 1 survival. Anything the club can do to keep us competitive has my backing. i like our new status in the football pyramid, and while we grow,it is upwards not down.
