What a great advert for league 1 football. Two good teams going at it for 90 minutes. No goals but a game I will remember. Good performances all round - Nartey deserves a mention - solid at the back and read the game very well. Some questionable decisions from the ref but I am not going to moan. Please people stop moaning about our attendances - it is what it is and it is not going to change dramatically. I thought it was a good turn out today if I'm honest compared to previous week's. People moan about the apathy around the area, and i agree it is not about to change, if 2-600 is a good turn out ,then we do not agree. But i see your point. We still can just stroll into the Pirelli, decide 2-0clock sat you know what i will watch Burton to day, works out well, and do you know wont maintain Championship football, but a nice experience

A well earned point but at home these are the games to win ,but sometimes a team can play better away, were the pressure is off them. A nice Atmosphere with Coventry taking their full allocation, they lived up to expectation with power and pace, and their bench was as good as Robins said it was, Macfadzene was immense for them. and like many others shown his time with the Brewers was productive, Leaving Coventry to their fans .Burton Albion have respect in the football world for giving 100%. O"Hara gave a good solid performance, and Nartley gave a standout performance in central defence though Clough would not be happy with the free kick in the 88th minute. Boyce i think has his mind on a niggling hamstring ,but we gave has good as we got and the game could have gone either way. Looking at the Brewers Wallace came from non=league==Brayford a crock from Sheff Utd==O"Toole a experiment==Quinn came from retirement after long term injury. Edwards struggling in Scottish football==Sbarra=Sardic hoping for a break through in English football. Nartley== Broadhead first time in mens football. Is it no wonder we take them into our hearts,Watching them become a team

A bit if nonsense before the start, but the linesman on the Popside did his usual checking of the nets and then waiting until the other linesman had done similar at the away end. Then, following a thumbs up, they had a synchronised run to the centre circle. What on earth was that all about?
And then Langford kicked off a minute early...

Solid result against top of the league team
However, best result of the day was Bolton getting hammered DESPITE their new expensive loannees. Wouldn't have wanted them to win their first game together and gain some momentum.
Funny how the only other team to take points off Coventry apart from us so far is Bolton!!!

One of their fans told me today they were the only team to take points off Coventry until albion yesterday

I made my annual pilgrimage to the Pirelli on Saturday and was treated to a great game of football. Both teams tried to play the ball along the ground and a draw was probably a fair result, although Coventry possibly had the better chances. For Albion, they look like they have a real find in Nartey who I thought was outstanding - best player on the field. Not sure about what Sarkic brings to the team, doesn't appear to have pace, no tricks on the ball. He put one decent cross in but apart from that I didn't see him do anything. Edwards looks a good player, although he seemed to tire in the second half. All round it was a very enjoyable game and bodes well for the Brewers if they can play like that all season.

Despite all of the good football being played by the Albion this season, I dread to think how low the attendance will be when the poor weather arrives. After 10 seasons in theEFL it would seem that the novelty of league football has soon worn off. I think similar problems led to the demise of previous Burton teams in the Football League at the turn of the 19th century.
