Coventry City a club that can get gates of 32-000 and their first game back at the Ricoh the gate was 27-000.in league 1 Another club badly run, playing home games now in Birmingham with a average attendance 6-378, Transfer spending moderate, but have a bigger squad and can pay bigger wages than the brewers. Relegated to league 1 in 2012 after 48 years, and also was put into liquidation 2012/13,they have spent 7 seasons in league 1 since 2012/13. This game is a sell out for away fans 1-671,all tickets sold 8 days before they went on general sale,No more being allocated allowing Burton fans to watch the game. Manager Mark Robins stated they have match winners in the side=and on the bench. No players of note ,but a lot of youth and good quality loans. Walsh=OHara=Jobello=Godden=Kastane.of course Macfadzene=Allen. Coming back from 3-1 against Portsmouth, and 2-0 down against Blackpool.shows they are mentally equip t for a decent campaign, sitting 2nd in league 1. So with their flare and a side full of confidence my heart will be in my mouth for 95 minutes. Will we be rested or stale ,how many of our injured players be back. will take a draw

Keep Allen quiet for long enough and you will forget heโs on the pitch until he is subbed. Wind-up Faz and get him sent-off for stamping or elbowing somebody, sing songs like โYouโre just a bus stop near Bedworthโ and sneak a winner off Boyceโs arse in the 93rd minute.

I think it will be very easy to keep Jamie Allen quiet as he is unlikely to be playing having been subbed off 10 minutes into his comeback game for the reserves yesterday!
Interesting when you look on their social media sites at some of the comments about Jamie from their fans. I think they are expecting a far better player than they are actually going to get and it seems they are thinking that he will be the answer to any problems they have in centre midfield. Just my opinion but he was made to look good by Quinn and Fraser last season and we have upgraded his position with the addition of Edwards who looks a better player to me.
Saturday will be another tough home game but if we play anywhere near our best and can take a few of our chances we will win. Anything slightly below that and we could come unstuck. Let's hope everyone is available so we can show the rest of the division what we are capable of.

Brewers fans are being reminded that the game is on Sat 14th Sept, seems strange only 3 days before a big game against a club joint top on points, and people have to be reminded that the game has been reverted back to sat, Strange take it the place is not buzzing. But i take it football in league 1 does not stir the natives. looking forward to the challenge Coventry will bring and chuffed to see Burton holding their own. Notice Derby are on sky again, doesn't matter how much money they waste it just keeps rolling in,30,000 to watch failure ,come on we can get our 2,500 to turn up,and paying at the turnstiles, will allow more Coventry fans to watch our game.

Just watched all of their highlights and it's a real mixed bag. They have definitely got goals in them, the good news is they look to play football and they really struggle to deal with crosses into their box. Having kept clean sheets for their first 3 league games they've since conceded 3 against Portsmouth, Watford and Oxford and 2 against Blackpool. Up front Godden (24) will be a threat, he's a big strong lad and is very good in the air, with 14 for Peterboro last season and 3 already this, he's bang on form. I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Hare (17) start just behind him, he's on loan from Villa, looks a really busy live wire and is really sharp in and around the box. Having Godden upfront gives them the option of going long quickly and although they prefer to play it through the pitch, they're not scared to use him as an outlet and Jake will have to watch his runs into the channel
We'll have to be on our toes for Westrooke's (26) set piece delivery and for his general willingness to shoot on site.
If Kyle is fit to start alongside Rose (4) the will be more solid but if either is out they are really shaky defensively. Both are really good defenders but we know from experience that Kyle is capable of losing the plot and young Rose also has a clumsy mistake in him. If we can press them high we'll cause Rose in particular problems as he looks to play out too much.
Their right back Dabo (23) is a total liability defensively and if we can get someone running off him at the far post he will fall asleep. He's also more than likely to get booked. He can put a ball in if given time going forward but he's somebody I'd definitely target.
Jabello (10) is a threat from the right hand side and looks to cross it early. He's another powerful lad who drives forward with the ball really well.
They beat Blackpool last time out, coming from 2 down to win 3-2 but it took Blackpool going down to ten men and Blackpool could have scored a couple long before then.
Looking at the games against teams we've both played, they drew 3-3 at Ocford with Oxford snatching a last minute equaliser, but watching the game Oxford caused them unbelievable problems out wide and could have won 6-3. They also beat Gillingham 1-0. I think we played better v both of those sides and trust we've just about got enough to beat them this weekend.
My own feelings are that it will be a nice open game but I think we are a better side than they are, just. I think they'll finish in and around the top 6. They're a good side without having a really clear style of play. They'll be a real threat on Saturday but as long as we can put out a strong first 11, we'll nick it by the odd goal.

Two Coventry fans asked walking back to the car how do we survive on around 2.6k home fans? We said have a tight ---- chairman and similar for a manager we seem to manage quite well. They agreed we ain't doing badly on it. They said they hated playing on a rugby pitch and much prefer to play on a decent pitch like ours each week when question about the ground situation.
Good game end to end plenty of decent football played, we deserved the point if not three but happy overall with our performance.

Really good end to end game with both teams having a few chances but we do keep the ball so well as a team. Would have been great to snatch the winner but happy with a point against a decent side. Our defence coped brilliantly with their attack with Nartey showing his class. If they had scored I do think their fans would have ran onto the pitch, One in the seats actually put a leg over the barrier and got taken out by the stewards! Why do fans think they can wonder onto the pitch? Dissapointed with the home attendance again, Burton v Coventry City!!! Where has everyone gone? Derby did play yesterday evening so we probably lost a few there with our game being the following day? Just a shame as we're playing some good football and the team deserves a better turnout. They could be back judging on their enthusiasm.๐ pityful we can't pack the popside for these games. I noticed Coventry fans didn't chant s--t ground no fans when the attendance was announced, I wonder why.๐

What a fantastic game! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
We dominated possession early doors playing some really lovely football but you had to appreciate Coventryโs organised defence and the way they played with 5 across the back and 4 across the middle closing us down all across the park; for all the play in their half we created few real chances. The game developed into a real end to end affair between two very good sides. Either side could have sneaked it; I wish it had been us but I guess you have to be happy with the draw and point.
Coventry packed the away end as expected. Great tense, atmosphere. Again there were gaps on our terraces which is a such a shame. This was a real advert to come and watch the Albion.
I sat on Friday night with 25000 deluded Derby fans watching a bunch of over hyped, over paid, uncommitted fairly talentless footballers bore the back side off me with a dull boring point off Cardiff.
Today was such a difference.

What a great advert for league 1 football. Two good teams going at it for 90 minutes. No goals but a game I will remember. Good performances all round - Nartey deserves a mention - solid at the back and read the game very well. Some questionable decisions from the ref but I am not going to moan.
Please people stop moaning about our attendances - it is what it is and it is not going to change dramatically. I thought it was a good turn out today if I'm honest compared to previous week's.

Great day, just had that brilliant proper 3pm Saturday game feel to it like I remember when I was a kid. Good atmosphere, good football, and very few wicket alerts on my phone! We have a decent side if people stay fit, would like to see Tempo get a run out soon. Cracking.

Yes I agree with your comments but I mentioned the attendance in my post and just want to say I'm not moaning just dissapointed especially how well the team are performing. And I can't see there being a lot less support at previous games, although this game being a local fixture against a massive club in comparison ๐๐ป

A really good, fast and at times frenetic game where in my opinion over the 90 minutes we were the better side. Yes, they had their moments and had a great chance to win it at the end but in fairness it would have been undeserved.
I've said it before but we play it back to front superbly and teams struggle to get near us at times but it's just that killer ball in and around the opposition penalty area that is missing otherwise we would be getting a hatful of goals. I don't like to be critical of players after a good team performance but I am starting to wonder whether Liam Boyce's place in the team could be under threat with Lucas or Broadhead perhaps being better bets for that central position. Boyce just looks off it to me and there were times in the first half when he was virtually standing next to Lucas and Sarkic out on the wings when he should have been in the centre trying to get on the end of the cross!
Agree that Nartey looked good today and I think that he deserves a run now perhaps with Bucko as for me JJOT doesn't yet look a natural defender especially against better opposition and some of his passing out from the back today was sloppy and could have cost us. Don't get me wrong he is a good player but I think ultimately Nartey and Buxton will be the best pairing.
Thought Kyle had a decent game and nice to see him applauding the home fans when he came off.
Onto Pompey on Tuesday where it will be tough but we are more than capable of coming away with a positive result.
