The prize money is actually as good if not better than Carabao Cup. It's only 50k for making the semis of that!
But we don't get the potential big game income as well of course in that

Big prize money but small compared to a televised big game in the FA Cup, I think.
Good result though. Comfortable win.
Small squad worries me too, hopefully fit and raring to go post internationals.
A couple of loan signings would be ideal pre window closing.

Good old Nigel, let Crewe do the wholesale changes, and left them with egg on their faces, Having this weekend off probably had a bearing on team selection. But his attitude of playing every game with the intention of winning it rubs off. He expects his players to perform just the same whether in front of 30-000 or 1-000. and this bodes well for the Brewers. A very good performance, and nice to see O"Hara fuming at con seeding the goal .Cup runs are our bread and butter and the income is vital to maintain league 1 status. Fans many have to choose their games ,watching all the games is very expensive,so many have to budget,I would think at our level league and F+A cup takes precedence,Away matches=Carabao cup.E_F_L trophy, But to our club they all represent income. After the shock n awe of promotion to the championship, a good season in league 1 and a cup run is what we hope for. Every competition is there to be won,and we have a club that will compete, I will expect Everton to allow Broadhead to play. Well done lads, have a well earned break, Coventry should be a test

Maybe a grind through to January, sign a few in the window, push to the end.

Great result and performance. Disappointed to let one in but there you go. We have a great squad and I’m not concerned about the depth. We have young chaps raring to go. In Clough we trust yet again.

In Clough we trust yet again. yes we have a great (though not huge) squad and the key to success in league 1 this season I think will be keeping the main players fit and fresh. With the number of games, including the cups, that's the challenge for Clough and his team. 2 or 3 injuries to key players can make a difference.

The cup run was great last season. Me personally in purely footballin I would forfeit all of that for a crack at the play offs this season and would play youngsters, fringe players..and Bywater 😉 in the cups. I do still love the FA Cup though.

Some lovely goals in the game - including theirs.
