The only way we will sustainably grow our "core" fan base who regularly go to games is to attract more youngsters to the match. I have to applaud the club and community trust for what they do in the community to engage with the kids - it is second to none. My 6 year old boy has had the community trust coaches training his team at at George's park, has had the club visit his school and has twice been to the club shop to meet players. There are other things as well. However, all of this is great but the match day experience for a young kid can be poor. Conversely with low attendances I can guarantee him a good spot to stand and see the game. When it is busy it is really poor. Until this is sorted with more seats the crowds will stay pretty much the same as they have been for the last few years. I have had a seat season ticket for my grandson now for 4 seasons and we travel from Nottingham to continue my involvement of 50 season plus. It’s £297 for Joseph (around £800 with mine and parking) and as we signed for them in the club shop prior to the Ipswich game he announced “Grandad I had no idea it cost that much, I can get one at Forest for £35”. That must be a major influence I’d guess and why kids are lured away to bigger clubs, who do have the seating capacity and can offer unbelievable value. When you add on the difficulty of buying a drink and a pie - with the tiny facilities we have, the queue in the toilets at halftime, I do think more should be done to enhance the experience for our future fans.

Thats news it said seated £1200 .I know i pay £36 pounds for ticket=coffee n biscuits+parking and a program,so would expect a ticket around £22 00. I believe Ben Robinson would like to leave a legacy of a small ultra modern ground.Perhaps he has a kitty that keeps building up,waiting for the club to be ready for the next phase. Mean while we have some well supported clubs visit the tranquil Pirelli Stadium and 2=3 hundred away fans is now unusual. We can attract from 1 to 5 thousand.Just got to harness the cash. Having a ticket to the Once Non- League Pirelli Stadium is exiting to fans. But not from this area. Pay on the day at the turnstiles is a insult to the fan base. With only 5000 tickets for sale we should be grabbing them. Shucks non league Chesterfield get 4-500. Lets be what we are, but let us stand back and let the club grow, revenue is our lifes blood.and the Pirelli is our blood bank

So we move onto Morecambe Who are about the same size as Burton and play their games at the Globe Arena which holds 6476,Playing in front of a small crowd will not faze them, with their average att being 2027,they sit 18th in the league 2. .they have no players of note, entered the football league in 2007 under Sam Mcllroy. Jim Bentley became manager in 2011- and on Aug 2018 became the longest serving manager in the top 4 divisions. They are a good league 2 club and will not lie down. If we compete and match them physically.Nigel says he will play his strongest fit squad,i feel after 60 minutes we should have chances. Always wary of club with nothing to lose. we normally are that club.and know first hand what can happen. We are at home going for a win

A win here would be nice. Get a bit of home form together and take that into the league.

Let's hope Ellison is playing. Not too many characters in the game these days.

I remember the last time Ellison graced the Pirelli stadium, he got some stick from the popside and some light-hearted banter. He took it all with a smile on his face and even gave us a round of applause at the end of the match, nice.

'Let's Not Break The Bank Burton Albion' versus 'Happy To Be In League Two Morecambe'
Two sensible clubs, living within their means.
Long live both teams.
There should be a twenty-foot "Thank You (Again) Ben Robinson" banner tonight. Can someone knock one up?

Boyce turn for a hat trick, Ryan Edwards with the other, 4-0 think they have this one sewn up.

Hope Boyce hasn’t chosen this moment to put himself in the shop window but great performance from him and The Brewers.

If and when I know I have only 5 mins left on this earth. Put me in front of a TV with Stephen Quinn bossing a game like that.
Brilliant.
And Kevin Ellison, what a top pro, and now succumbed to yellow boots too...

The stats and result from that game suggest we are much closer to being a Championship level team than a league two level team
82 per cent pass completion rate?

Some of the football tonight was sublime, nay sumptious. And I am having none of 'it was only Morecambe'. They are a hard working, good club.
This evening, we were too good.
